"What do you want?" Is always the first question,
And the response is, "I don't know," every single time.
I know what I want,
I want you,
I want whatever picture I have in my head,
I want the impossible with you.
All these wants, but I don't ever need you,
There's a difference.
You may want me sexually,
But I want you romantically.
You may need me for random shit,
But I don't need you.
"What do you want?" Has been asked again,
Over and over, until it breaks out into an endless argument.
I want a relationship,
I want to grow old and tell our grandchildren about our story.
I want everything when it comes to you,
That is what I want.
But the question comes thrown back to you,
"What do you want?"
And you respond with,
"I don't know what I want,
I don't think a relationship is in the right cards for me right now,
I like you. I do,
But can we only stay friends?"
No. No we cant.
In another lifetime, we might be together happily,
In another lifetime we are probably great friends,
But in this Lifetime, we aren't meant to be, no matter how true I want us to be,
We aren't each other's soulmate.
