We grow up watching Disney movies,
Romanticizing our love life the way Disney wants us to.
Dancing throughout the ballroom with joyful smiles resting on their faces.
The way we watch the prince extend his hands to met his partner half way.
Princess treatment has three phases,
The "let me get that for you" to,
"Don't worry, I'll pay for it." to,
"Your foot hurts? Let me carry you,"
We love hearing it,
We love acting like we weren't expecting it.
When it comes to Princess treatment we expect nothing less,
Sometimes saying, "this reminded me of you," could make our hearts so full.
We love the bare minimum,
Yet in a pool full of hookups,
We still romanticize the way love should be,
In a pool full of games,
We still have hope.
Princess treatment isn't about the gowns,
And crowns,
It's so much more than that.
