"Morning, upper east siders," Gossip Girl's voice echoed in Taylor's mind as she heard the persistent ringing at the door. Irritated by the disturbance, she called out for Ian to answer it, but there was no response.

With a sigh, Taylor made her way to the door, frustration evident on her face. As she swung it open, her expression froze in surprise as she came face to face with Laura, Liam's wife.

Their eyes locked in a tense moment of recognition, the air thick with unspoken tensions and buried secrets. In that fleeting instant, Taylor felt a surge of unease wash over her, unsure of what Laura's unexpected visit could mean for the delicate balance of their intertwined lives on the Upper East Side.

Laura's smile, though polite, held an underlying tension as she asked, "Can I come in?"

Taylor hesitated for a moment, her mind racing with uncertainty, but she knew she couldn't refuse. "Yes, sure," she replied, stepping aside to allow Laura entry into the elegant apartment.

As Laura settled into a chair with graceful poise, Taylor couldn't help but admire her elegant demeanor, even amidst the tension that lingered between them.

"What would you like to drink, Laura?" Taylor asked, her voice steady despite the undercurrent of unease.

Laura's response was simple and refined. "Coffee, please," she replied, her tone polite yet distant.

As Taylor settled into her seat, cradling her own cup of coffee, Laura's words hit her like a thunderbolt. "I just signed my divorce papers with Liam," she announced, her voice carrying a mixture of relief and resignation.

Taylor's eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected news, her mind racing as she processed the implications of Laura's revelation. Before she could respond, Laura fixed her with a knowing smile, her gaze steady and unwavering.

"Don't be surprised, dear," Laura continued, her tone surprisingly calm. "I know about your affair with Liam."

Laura's sharp gaze bore into Taylor's, her words cutting through the air like a knife. "At least I was his wife," she declared, her tone laced with bitterness. "You're just his plaything."

Taylor's jaw clenched at the sting of Laura's words, a surge of defensiveness rising within her. "You think you're the only one who mattered to him?" she shot back, her voice tinged with defiance. "You may have had the title, but I have his heart."

Laura's eyes narrowed, her expression hardening with resolve. "Heart? Don't make me laugh," she scoffed, her tone dripping with disdain. "You're just a passing fancy, a distraction from the emptiness of his marriage."

Taylor felt a surge of anger flare within her, her hands trembling with suppressed emotion. "And what about you?" she retorted, her voice rising with intensity. "Signing divorce papers won't erase the fact that you failed to keep him satisfied, that you pushed him into my arms."

Laura's words cut through the tension like a knife, her voice dripping with venom as she stepped closer to Taylor. "You're a dumb blonde slut," she hissed, her tone filled with contempt. "You think he's the one for you."

Taylor bristled at the insult, her jaw clenched with anger, but before she could respond, the sound of footsteps echoed through the foyer. Charlize, Taylor's mother, appeared at the top of the stairs, her expression a mix of concern and confusion.

"What's going on here?" Charlize demanded, her voice sharp with urgency as she descended the staircase.

Taylor's eyes darted between Laura and her mother, a knot of tension tightening in her stomach. She knew that Charlize's arrival could either diffuse the situation or escalate it further, and she braced herself for whatever would come next.
