After Steve left, I stayed there for a while just reflecting on everything. Thinking about how Sasha must be doing, I haven't contacted her because I don't want to put her in any danger. But she was probably worried sick about me, I wish I could tell her that I'm fine and that I'll be home soon. It was nice to just stand in the peace and quiet for a while and just relax. Everything has been so crazy, I needed a minute for myself. I never realized how much I took peace and quiet for granted until now.
A couple of minutes went by until I finally decided to go back in and get ready for the battle. As I walk into the building, I see Agent Hill making her way over to me and without a word, grabs my arm and pulls me down the corridor. "Care to explain what is happening?" I asked as she was still pulling me somewhere. "We need to get you ready," was all that she replied before going silent again. We go down a corridor that I haven't been before, and when we get to the end of it, she finally lets go of me.
My arm was in so much pain because she had a tight grip on it; I swear she was cutting off the blood to my hand. She goes over to a keypad, but before she puts anything in, she turns to face me with a serious look. "Don't touch anything, I will get you what is needed, okay?" she tells me, and I quickly nod in response before she turns back around and puts the password in. The door opens, revealing a dark room, but when she walks in, the light turns on, and I can see that we were at the weaponry room.
"Wow," was all that I could get out as I followed her into the room. I probably had the same face a kid would as they walked into a candy store. I knew some of the weapons in the room from the Kill Room days, but there were a lot that I haven't and had no clue how they worked. "First off is your outfit," she says walking over to a wall. "What's wrong with this?" I jokingly say, pointing at the outfit I was wearing. She doesn't reply and just rolls her eyes before pressing a button, and the wall opens up.
Behind the moving wall was a hero outfit. "Luckily Fury got this made for you," she tells me as we both look at it. "Wait... Fury didn't even know if I would have even agreed so..." I say, confused, but she cuts me off before I could even finish knowing what I'm going to say. "Fury gets what Fury wants," she utters before making her way to the door we came through. "Change into it, then we'll sort out your weapon," she continues, not turning around, and walks out of the room. I look back at the outfit and just stare at it. If you told me two weeks ago all of this would happen, I wouldn't have believed you.
"You better be getting changed, and not touching anything," I hear Hill shout from the other side of the door. I get changed quickly, knowing that Hill will get impatient and just walk back in mid me getting changed. "So what weapons am I getting?" I say after calling her back when I was changed. "Ohh this one?" I ask while holding a gun from the wall. "No," she states before taking the gun off me and putting it back into place, giving me a look. It felt like I was a kid getting in trouble for touching something I wasn't meant to.
"Your weapons are suited to your abilities," she tells me, walking over to the cupboard and taking a big metal briefcase out of it. She puts it onto the table in front of me, and I can see the words 'Silent Phantom' written on the front of it. "Who is Silent Phantom?" I ask her about the name, and she lets out a deep sigh as if I asked a stupid question. "It's you," she blankly tells me, giving me a look. "Me?" I asked, and she sighs again. "Well, you when you join the Avengers," she tells me, looking back at the briefcase.
"Hey... I don't remember agreeing to join the Avengers," I say, confused on why all this Avengers talk was happening without me. She lets out a small laugh. "Like I said, 'What Fury wants, Fury gets,'" she repeats herself before opening the briefcase and pulling out the first weapon. "So first we have a Wrist-Mounted Gauntlet; these gauntlets can discharge electric shocks or energy blasts," she says, putting it on. She then points her arm towards some test dummies in the room before pressing a button on the side and sending an energy blast towards them.
