Felix's Pov

I felt a slight push on my shoulder. The little boy sitting next to me on the bus was peeping at the comic I was reading with curiosity. As soon as he saw me notice him, he leaned over my shoulder further

"Is that a limited edition of Deities? That's my favorite comic! I've even got the figurines. But mum says comic are for little kids" the boy said

"This one is definitely not for kids"I replied

The boy was funny. He started babbling about the comic's first few issues, the plot and I couldn't shake off the thoughts that he was just like my brother.
He also enjoys talking to strangers. The kid pouted when he noticed that I had moved to the exit

"Do you have to go already, I wanted to tell you so many things"

"I'll take the rain check okay?"
The bus had arrived at the station so I ruffled the boy's hair and exited the
bus

In the neon lights, the city seemed absolutely different. Exhausted after a long day of work, people were looking nervously at the traffic light, counting down the last seconds to the green light.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a movement on the other side of the street. Some guy was waving his hand, attracting my attention.

"Hyunjin?". Sometime ago we were good friends. But we just fell out lately.

"Yongbok !" He yelled still waving his hand. The greenlight turned on and people hurried across the street. The road was nearly empty but then a SUV showed up from across a turn.
Someone behind grabbed me by the shoulder and jecked me backward. And then ....I don't remember what happened.

The car raced right in front of me running over people. I heard screams . I rushed to find Hyunjin. I looked around. The scope of the accident was horrifying.

"Hyunjin? Hyunjin!". I rushed forward, pushing people away and i saw him lying on the asphalt. He rose on his elbows and was looking around confusedly. I ran to him
He smirked and hugged me as I fell on my knees next to him.

"Are you okay? I thought you died"

"It's fine, I wasn't hit".

He rose to his feet slowly and that's when I noticed that there wasn't a single scratch on him even though his clothes were pretty roughed up.
He offered me his hand helping me up.

"How the fuck are you fine? I could swear I saw you get hit" I said to him

"I'm fine" I looked at him confused. He smiled and gave me a slight push

"Let's go" I didn't have anything to say and we walked away from the accident. We were almost at my house when I came to a stop. I just couldn't make sense of everything that happened.

"Are you sure you're fine?"Hyunjin asked"you look shaken"

'That's probably because I just witnessed a fucking accident.'

"Uhm I'm fine"

"Heyy....look on the bright side, we're alive and life goes on, we didn't go to hell" his answer surprised me

"Why hell?"

"I like to think we'll all meet by the banks of Styx eventually"

"I don't..."

He took a step forward and cupped my face in his palms. He smiled I did the same

"You know I really wanted to tell you..." His whisper was rudely interrupted by a phone call and he pulled out his phone . A familiar name and number on the display.
