Chapter 17

After taking a nice long relaxing bath Steven came back in and helped me towel off and brought me one of his shirts to put on.

He then helped me to bed and I fell asleep soon after.

I woke several hours later to a blinding light and snoring.

I snuggled closer into the warm of the bed and stretched feeling my muscles starting to wake up.

I sit up and look around the room as my eyes adjust to the light and see Steven sleeping in just boxers with the blanket only covering his legs.

He is laying on his stomach leaving his muscular back on view for me as he breathes in and out.

I pull the blanket up over his back and get out of bed to leave him asleep.

I walk out the room and shut the door as quiet as possible and walk down the hall to the kitchen.

I make myself some ginger ale and grab an orange and a donut.

I eat the donut as I make my way into the living room and flop down on the couch.

Grabbing the remote off the table I turn the tv on and flip it to the news.

I take a sip of my drink and sit it on the table along with the remote.

I start eat my orange and watch the news for a few hours when I hear movement behind me.

I turn around and see Steven walking out the room and down the hall with bed head.

He has a worried look on his face until he spots me.

He rushes to my side and takes my hand and places his other on my stomach.

"Love are you okay I woke up and you weren't in bed is the baby okay do you need me to do anything I can make you anything" he says while running circles on my stomach.

I shoo his hand away and shake my head.

"Steven I'm fine really you don't have to treat me like I'm handicap I can take care of myself I'm just pregnant" I mumble getting up from the couch.

"I'm sorry it's just I'm so worried something is going to happen to you or the baby and I could never forgive myself if it did" he replies looking worried again.

"I'm for really no need to worry I just need to take my prenatal vitamins and start eating healthier" I walk off to the kitchen to get my vitamins and take them.

Steven gets up off the couch and goes into the room and comes back a little while later in a suit with his hair wet from a shower.

I look up from the tv and smile before getting up and adjusting his tie for him.

"So where are you going in such a hurry" I ask curiously.

"I am late for work I have to find a new secretary I never did get around to getting a new one since you left. So I figured maybe its time for a new one. That and I'm getting behind in work and all the paperwork is really starting to pile up."

"Well how about this I can come in and help out around the office until you find a new one to help you by them it will be about time for the baby to get here" I smile while staring up at him.

"I don't want you working while you are carrying my child so the answer is no and that's final I don't want to hear anything else about it so just get whatever thoughts you have out" I snaps.

"If I don't do something I will die of boredom I don't want to just sit around all day and do nothing besides you can't tell me what to do" I snap back with venom.

"I will as long as you are with child my child to be exact I will not take a chance of you getting hurt. So I suggest you take that credit card I left on the counter an go shopping or something because you will not be working while with me now I have to go to work now before they think I quit. I love you now relax or something" he kisses the side of my head and walks around me and leaves.

He leaves me standing there with my hand on my hip and an angry look on my face.

I finally just sigh and walk into our room and grab my clothes and throw them on after a shower.

I throw my hair up into a messy bun and grab my phone and Steven card and get out the front door to find the limo waiting on me.

I roll my eyes and shake my head ugh Steven really doesn't want me doing anything.

I'm going to end up fat if he keeps this up.

I give the driver the name of my fav store and relax against the leather seat.

We soon pull up in front of the store and I make my way out and into the store.

I'm greeted by a rude woman that I have never seen before who asks if I need anything.

I shake my head yes and ask for the maternity section.

She points a nubby finger in the direction and I walk away from her with an eye roll.

After grabbing a few things I get to the check out counter and pay for it and leave.

I tell the driver after getting back in the limo to take me to Taco Bell for lunch.

I order for myself and Steven and pay and get back in the limo telling the driver to take me to his work.

We pull up in front and I get out with the food and drinks in hand and make my way in the building.

I make it to his office and nock on the door and wait for him to answer.

The door opens and I look up into a very surprised looking Steven.

He opens the door wider for me to walk in as he grabs the food and drinks.

I take a seat in front of his desk and he joins me.

"Love what are you doing here I thought I told you to go shopping or do whatever" he asks taking a sip of his drink.

"Well I was in the neighborhood and thought you could use some company and some lunch because I know how you are when to work you sometimes forget to eat. That and I wanted to show you some of the stuff I bought and thought maybe you could use some help" I smile up at him.

"Well thank you for lunch I have been working really hard as for the help no I told you I don't want you hurting yourself so forget it" he replies.

I sigh and finish my food and get up and kiss him on the cheek.

He walks me back outside and to the limo and kisses me on the mouth and I respond kissing him back and wrapping my arms around his neck.

He unwraps himself from me "now love don't get carried away not here maybe later" he winks and walks back into the building.

I tell the driver to take me home after stopping for me to get some marshmallows and chocolate syrup.

Once back at the apartment I make my way into the room with everything putting the new clothes up and grabbing a few marshmallows and eating them before laying down in bed and relaxing.

I slowly fall asleep with the view of the city.

This book has to be done by August 31st so lets see if I can finish it in time :D
