Chapter 7

I laid in bed last night after getting home and couldn't sleep.

I had so much on my mind between Steven's question and Hector's job offer.

I finally rolled over and looked at the clock it reads 4:30.

I get up and make my way into my kitchen.

Grabbing a glass I get some water and start drinking it when I hear my phone start ringing.

I walk over to my phone where I left it in the living room.

Now who could be calling me at this time of morning.

Grabbing the phone I look and looking at the screen Steven's face is showing.

I answer it and a very drunk Steven answers me back.

"Hey hey Angle angle hoth are you tonith so lisssssen comme gettth me huh" he gets out.

"Uh yeah Steven where are you I'm on my way" I reply grabbing my keys after pulling my hair up into a pony tail.

"Uh itssss Diamondsssss BDSssssssM Clubbbb" as he gets it out I hear the line go dead.

I groan and get into my car and start it and take off.

Once in front of the club I see the bouncer.

I walk up to him and recognize its the usual one.

"Hey Malek how are you tonight" I say to the bouncer.

"Oh hey Angel I take it your here for Steven he is in VIP go on in if you need some help just let me know" he tells me opening the door for me.

Once inside I head straight for the VIP section.

I get there and Steven is sitting on the couch with a woman in his lap.

I roll my eyes and walk over to him.

"If I were you I would get up off his lap unless you don't want to keep your job" I scream over the music to the girl on Steven's lap.

She turns and acts like she is about to at something till she notices its me.

She gets up and walks off leaving me and Steven alone.

"Come on Steven lets get you up and home huh" I scream taking his arm and wrapping it around my neck.

I walk him out the club and to my car saying bye to Malek.

"You really need to come sometime and hang out when I'm off Angel" he tells me and helps me get Steven in my car.

"Ill think about it Malek but right now I have to get him home ill talk to you later" I wave one more time before getting in the car.

I start the car and drive off turning on some music I drive to my house.

Once in front of my house I stop the car and get out.

Walking to the other side of the car I open Steven's door and help him out.

"Whatttth are we doinnngg hereth for huh Angle" he slurs out.

I just keep walking with him until we get to the door.

I open the door and help him in and deposit him in my bed.

I pull his jacket off and his shoes and cover him up as he slowly falls asleep.

I go into the kitchen grabbing a glass of water and Tylenol bringing it back into my room and putting it on the table next to my bed for Steven when he wakes up.

I go into the living room grabbing my phone I call a few people leaving messages.

I let them know that Steven won't make it to his meetings that he had emergencies and to just call me back so we can reschedule for another time.

I then left my number for them after doing that I laid down on the couch and fell asleep.
