I climb in my apartment window after a long day patrolling the neighbourhoods. My apartment isn't great. It's only one room and everything is in it, kitchen, living room, everything. I take off my mask and put it on my work-table, pulling down my hood.
My spider senses go off and I turn around just in time to see a man with an eyepatch sitting on my couch and pointing a gun at me. He shoots one singular round towards my head but I dodge it. I shoot a web at the barrel of his gun, making sure he can't shoot again.
" You're a hard person to find, Andrea Parker." The man said as he smirked at my dumbfounded state as I just stand there.
" Who are you?" I asked as a I broke my silence.
" Nick Fury, Director of Shield." He introduced.
I start to get more comfortable as I lean back on a wall with my arms crossed over my chest.
" Well, Fury. What is a top governmental organisation's Director here to talk to littl' ol' me." I smirk.
" We need you to come in." He tells me.
" What do you mean 'come in'? What am I 'coming in' for?" I question.
" I'm not at liberty to discuss that with you at this time." He informs me, making me more confused.
" Look Parker, you've been on our radar for a while now. I know that you love being the little friendly-neighbourhood Spider-Woman, saving the old lady from getting mugged. But the threat that I'm dealing with, it's like nothing anyone has ever seen." He explains vaguely to me.
" I don't think so. I live in New York. I have seen it all." I joke, making him chuckle.
" 10 buck says your wrong." He smirks, catching me by surprise.
" If you want to take the plunge from friendly-neighbourhood to global hero..." He trails off, standing up as he takes a piece of paper out of his pocket.
" I'll see you here tomorrow at eight am sharp." He tells me as he hands me a piece of paper with an address, walking towards the door.
He then walks out of my apartment and I release a breath I didn't know I was holding. This is a lot. A government agency wants to recruit me. I know that I've faced my fair share of crime lords, kingpins and other weirdos in costumes. But the way this one-eyed pirate put it, this seems a lot bigger than anything I've even dealt with.

I arrive at the location Fury gave me, getting there with 5 minutes to spare. I swing onto the roof, looking down into the alley, spotting someone standing there. I recognised who it was from history projects in high school.
Steve Rogers. Captain America.
I land in the alley near him but far enough away that he won't see or hear me. I then walk towards him and he looks at me.
" Hey." I greet as I walk towards him.
" Hey. You're Andrea Parker, right?" Captain America asks in a sceptical tone and I give him a confused look as to how he knows my name.
" Fury told me you were coming. Didn't think you would show." He explains as he breaks the silence.
" Oh, well.... Yeah, I'm Andrea Parker." I stutter out and he nods.
