Gyuvin raised his eyebrows. "Oh god, I- sorry.." He apologized, trying to get off of Ricky. However, Ricky kept the boy's arm on his own chest again. "Hey, what are you-""Your knees are injured, so don't get up like that." Ricky said once again calmly. He was right, that would have been painful for poor Gyuvin in this state.
He suddenly choked on his own saliva, surprised. 'How is he always so calm about things?' Gyuvin thought.
The older smiled. "Don't be shy~" He said, teasingly. "You-" Gyuvin was about to say something, but stopped.
Ricky slowly got up with the boy still next to his chest, ignoring whatever Gyuvin had to say.
Gyuvin felt a little warm next to him. "Are you getting sick..?" He questioned the older boy, getting a confused look in return.
"Huh?"
"Ah, you just seem.. a little warm." Gyuvin said, taking a small step back from him. "Im n-not." Ricky stuttered, catching Gyuvin by surprise.
'Did Ricky just stutter?' He thought, not knowing Gyuvin was still staring at him. The brunette looked away immediately, clearing his throat. What should he say now...?
Gyuvin looks at the window next to the fridge, seeing how dark it got already. He sure did stay at school later than usual.
"I should get going now." He says, turning back to the boy.
"Yeah it's getting pretty late." Ricky added. It was indeed late for a school night. 10:20 p.m to be exact.
The blonde went to the counter to put the box away, then facing to talk to Gyuvin again. "I'll have my driver take you." Ricky told him.
The younger boy shook his head. "No it's fine." Gyuvin was quiet for a few seconds, trying to think of a solution. "I'll walk." He said, making Ricky furrow his eyebrows.
"And how long will that take?" He asked as the brunette thought about it. "Uh.. about an hour and a half?" Gyuvin said, getting a laugh from Ricky.
"I'm not letting you do that." His laugh slowly fades. He didn't mean to look so serious, but he can't help but think about Gyuvin looking like an abandoned little puppy out on the streets at the us time of night.
"Do you care about me..?" Gyuvin blurted out, regretting it right away. Ricky processed what Gyuvin said a few moments later.
Ricky opened his mouth but nothing came out for a few seconds. "..Yeah. You're my friend." He said finally. 'Why did that take so long to say?' He thought.
The brunette thought about that for a little. He's never had a good friend besides Matthew before. Then he smiled warmly.
'This is kind of nice.'
"Gyuvin..? We're friends, right?" The blonde asked, scratching his neck.
"Of course we are, Ricky." Gyuvin replied.
"Okay." He nodded, looking down a little. "Who wouldn't want to be friends with someone who got their bullies to run away." Gyuvin said, making Ricky smile.
"You're right. I literally saved your life." He looked proud of himself. Gyuvin frowned. "Don't go that far.." he mumbled, jokingly.
"It's true. Those idiots could've punched you to death, looking at your scars." Ricky's smile dropped again. He's got to stop doing that.
"Are you saying I'm weak?" Gyuvin laughed. Ricky cleared his throat. "No.. anyways I'm gonna go tell my driver to take you home." He said, changing the topic quickly.
But for some reason, Gyuvin didn't want to leave yet. Of course, he wouldn't say that out loud. Instead he remained quiet, still standing in the boy's kitchen.
Ricky was now walking away and towards the garage door. "I'll go get him now, just wait there." He told the boy as he nodded back.
Gyuvin heard his footsteps fade into the room, looking away. He then heard a strange sound coming from his stomach.
He was starving. To be specific, he hasn't eaten since breakfast this morning. Well, if breakfast counted as one strawberry flavoured pop tart. "Ugh.." Gyuvin mumbled, looking around for something to eat.
Like a hungry little mouse, he looked around on the counter to find his mango juice bottle.
'Oh right, the gift from Ricky!'
The boy drank it like he was stranded in the desert for days, smiling because of the sweet taste.
'How did Ricky know me so well?'
A few minutes later, Ricky came back, closing the door and walking towards Gyuvin. "Come on." He signalled towards the front door. "Ah.. okay." Gyuvin hesitantly replied, walking to the door.
"Is there something wrong..? Oh, should I give you more bandages in case those come off? Or I can-"
Gyuvin smiled. "It's fine, Ricky. Just.. kinda tired from today." He said. It was true, Gyuvin felt like he was gonna take a nap on the way to his house, but he didn't know weither he should blame not eating enough, or getting beaten up until he was on the ground.
He put on his shoes fast, taking his jacket and throwing it around his arm.
"Make sure you wear that, it's cold tonight." Ricky instructed like a father, softly patting Gyuvin's back.
Gyuvin smiled, kind of just standing there until he forgot to say something else.
"Thanks for helping me today, Ricky. Seriously." He thanked the older boy, getting a small smile in return. "Anytime, Gyuvin." The younger nodded as he walked out the door, waving to Ricky.

Gyuvin shut the door, entering inside his house. He sighed, thinking about how worried his mom must be.
Gyuvin put everything down and walked upstairs, hearing the TV noises from down the hall.
'She must be awake, then.'
He entered his moms room. It was dark and the TV light reflected on the room. He frowned, seeing his mom asleep.
"Mama.. I'm home." Gyuvin put his arms around his mom, hugging her. She slowly turned over, looking half-awake.
"Gyuvin..? Where have you been.." She asked him, her words slurred. "I'm sorry mom, I was at school for a while today, and.." He paused, thinking for a short way out of the story.
"I'll.. tell you everything tomorrow when your fully awake." He finished as his mom nodded slowly. "Sure.. go to sleep now." She instructed him.
Gyuvin slowly stood up, walking to his own room. "I thought she would've been more worried about me.." He mumbled to nobody, laying down on his bed.
Gyuvin was really tired, even too lazy to wash up and change. So instead, he decided to text Ricky.
'Thank you again for today, Ricky.'
Surprisingly, Ricky responded a minute later.'Good night, Kim Gyuvin'
