The record label person only spent about half an hour at the restaurant before he left.
Harry poked his head around the barrier and said, "You can come back over here now."
"How's it going?" Crystal asked as we all tried to squeeze into the small booth.
I couldn't focus on what the others were saying because I had somehow been smushed up against the very man I had been ogling and then daydreaming about. I could feel the warmth radiating into me from where our arms were pressed together.
As Michael kept rambling, Roy leaned his head closer to me, "I wonder how long it'll take for him to realize that during that entire time his shirt was buttoned wrong?"
I huffed a quiet laugh, so he was hot and funny, "I don't know, but I'm definitely pointing it out in the car to watch him freak out."
He laughed at that, "I'm Roy."
I smiled at him and replied, "I'm Calum, nice to meet you."
"Ahhh, so you're the infamous Calum?"
"Oh no, what has Mike said about me?" I groaned.
Roy let out a soft laugh, "Oh, plenty, but he failed to mention how pretty you are."
His words caused a deep blush to cover my entire body. I might not be pale, but I gave Michael a run for his money with redness when I blushed.
"You best not be flirting with my best friend over there, Roy," Michael's voice cut through my embarrassment.
Roy gasped and put his hand on his chest, "I would never, Michael. What do you think of me? A common whore?"
"Yes, actually," Micahael laughed.
At that Crystal smacked her fiance's arm, "Michael Clifford!"
"Woah, you just got last named," I laughed.
Just then the waitress walked up to the table, "Can I get you anything else, or would you like the check?"
"You can just get the check, we'll split it," Harry responded.
After she walked away Harry turned back to the group, "If you want we could go back to my house I have a fresh stalk of beer and plenty of games."
There was a chorus of yesses, but seeing that I am a college student and it's a Sunday before a long day of classes, a day of drinking might not be smart.
"I would love to, but I have homework I need to do," I said, "and I don't have a car, so I need a ride back to the apartment."
"I always forget you're a baby, and still in college," Michael said.
"I'm not that much younger than you," I said indignantly.
"Come on, Cally," Michael whined, "Is your stupid class more important than getting drunk and playing board games?"
"Yes, actually, because I can do that whenever I want, and I unfortunately have deadlines for homework."
"If you and Crystal want to go, I don't mind driving Calum back," offered Roy, "I can't come anyway, I have work in an hour."
My breath caught. Would I be lucky enough to get driven home by a freaking hottie, but the real question is would Michael hate the idea or would his love for drunken board games trump his obviously negative thoughts on Roy and I spending time together.
"That sounds great," I said, "I know how much you wanna go Mike, and if Roy's willing to drive me home that would work out perfectly."
"Perfect!" Crystal replied for her fiance, "This way Michael and I can have the car to ourselves."
