-----

She was able to get this document from the forensics team by showing them his authorization letter and telling them that she's Cadence's wife.

Because that's what he told her to say. . .

And he even gave her an identification card, and her last name had turned into 'Futore'!

Why don't he just change her last name for real?

That ridiculous thought made her giggle, and she had to bite her lower lip to suppress it.

She put her seatbelt on and stared at him, waiting for his reaction. Binuklat-buklat nito ang mga papeles kung saan nakalagay ang report tungkol sa murder weapon, and when she saw that sly smirk curling on the corners of his lips, she knew that he had read what he wanted to read.

His hazel eyes flashed a knowing glint as he scanned the papers, and as he cocked his head, his smirk grew wider, declaring his victory. Panalong-panalo na ang itsura nito. His expression bore confidence and secret that only he knew.

His eyes gazed at her. Fuck. She had been staring at him for too long!

"Do you want to take a read?" Inabot nito sa kanya ang papeles. Kinuha niya iyon at kinagat-kagat ang kanyang pang-ibabang labi.

"Ano bang meron dito, Cad? You look so confident."

"Because I am. Just take a look at it, Jacinda, and you will know what I am trying to say," he stated, a subtle tone of happiness etched on his voice.

The report of the murder weapon. . . at talagang meron iyong picture. The knife, which has a flower pattern on its handle as what the defendant exactly described, was stained with dried blood.

The blood on the knife matched the victim's blood. The knife weighs 118 grams and has a width of three inches. It has a height of 5 inches, a width of 3 inches and it was found beside the victim's corpse.

It was all planned, huh?

"Was the information clear to you, Jacinda?" Cadence suddenly asked, clearly sensing her delight.

Nodding, the corners of her lips curled into a smile. "All clear, Attorney."

"PUMAPAG-IBIG NA SI Attorney, ah," a hairless man muttered in delight as he sipped his coffee.

Nandito sila sa opisina ng Chief of Police. They want to ask his permission to interview the defendant and discuss with him the charges pressed against him.

Tapos na ang Initial Appearance kahapon, and the Arraignment will take place today. Dadalhin ang defendant sa korte ngayon where he will plead guilty or not guilty.

Cadence will convince him to choose the latter but knowing the sacrifice that he had made for his son, they knew it won't be easy, and there's a possibility that he will plead guilty later at court.

A gasp almost escaped from her mouth when Cadence's arm snaked around her waist. The gentle pressure of his touch sent shivers down her spine, and there's a mix of security and confusion that arose within her, along with the harsh and rapid beating of her heart.
