I woke up in a strange room, red and white stripes running up the walls and invading the neon green ceiling. I groaned a bit as I took in my surroundings, my head throbbing like someone was repeatedly hitting me with a mullet.
The first thing I realised as I looked around was the my room didn't have such an obvious colour clash. The second thing I saw that convinced me I was dreaming was that there was three suns in the yellow sky.......
"Well hit me on the head with a dresser and send me to Narnia, I'm definitely going crazy........ "

Two days earlier.........
The boy ran through the castle as fast as he could. It was rare that such a young lad would be used for such an important message, and he wanted to prove himself to his handler that he was up to the job."Now then boy, run as quickly as you can, don't talk to anyone, don't look at anyone, don't even think about thinking about anything else apart from delivering this letter. If you do your job well, there's five gold coins waiting for you, and if not, well, we all know what happened to the last kid who failed me........... "
He grimaced as he remembered the Baron's words to him just two minutes earlier, and ran a little faster, desperate to get to the king with the news, the picture of that poor bloodied kid fresh in his memory.
He hated the Baron even more than he loved his own mother. Just two days earlier, the Baron had caught a small boy who looked around 11 years of age stealing an apple in the marketplace. Rather than put him in the stocks for two days, as was the custom, he instead dragged him back to the castle, and tortured him with the rack until he "admitted" that he'd stolen money from the Baron himself! The ruthless Baron then ordered him to be skinned alive in the courtyard as "a reminder to all good countrymen to refrain from thievery".
With these memories fresh in his mind, he ran even faster, fancying he was running from the Baron himself. Before he knew it, he crashed through the huge doors of the great hall, but before he could even so much as blink, he was lifted from his feet by two stern looking guards!
"WHO DARES ENTER THE GREAT HALL WITHOUT SUMMONING? "The poor boy barely had the courage to stutter, " Please don't flay me my lord, I bring grave news from Baron Walter!"
"You have ten seconds to change my mind. " growled the king.
" The enlightened one! He's here! "
