"Neowhatnow??"

Jason was sitting up in bed looking and feeling very confused and a little bit afraid. A man dressed in knight's armor from head to foot had just arrived to tell him where he was in kind and soothing tones, but Jason didn't trust him, there was something off about the way this man looked at him and he didn't like it one bit.

"You're in Neomatia lad"

The Baron didn't like this job one bit, he hated having to do things like this, that's what he had an army of squires and servants for! Not to mention his actual army which he kept a closely guarded secret, if the King found out about it, he'd be killed for treason on the spot.

Problem was, the mood King Elias was in right now, if anything didn't go according to plan, heads would roll. Literally. Inwardly, he cursed.

Always send a servant to do a potentially messy job.............

Jason looked up at the Baron, his head still spinning from the blow his head took, and digested the information he'd just been given.

Neomatia?  Where on earth is Neomatia?  Am I even on earth any more?  What planet is this??

"Oh", was all he said. The Baron eyed him for a bit, then continued, "I'll see to it that your head is tended to, but right now you need to rest. There's a lot of people depending on you lad."

"On me? Why would anyone be depending on me for anything? I'm a kid........"

"Oh, but they are lad. You've been awaited for quite some time now, nearly a thousand years."

"A THOUSAND.........???"

Jason stopped abruptly as a sharp pain slammed though his head, knocking him back into bed. The Baron sighed.

"Sit down lad, you're not fully recovered from your injuries." He turned towards the door.

"I'm going to find the best mage in the kingdom for you lad, just stay there."

MAGE??

Jason's eyes widened as the Baron shut the door.

Where the hell am I??
**************************************

The Baron scowled as he briskly walked to find a mage for Jason. He'd just realized that the best mage in the kingdom was none other than the King's personal physician, and King Elias wasn't one to dish out favors without someone's head rolling. He made his way to his chambers and found a boy servant waiting for him. He smirked. Always send a servant to do a potentially messy job.......

"BOY!"

The young boy jumped to attention and paled. "B-b-b-baron?"

"I've a serious task for you boy. If carried out well, there might be a gold coin in it for you....... "

"What is it you wish sir?"

The Baron leaned in. "Ask King Elias for his personal physician to attend to The Enlightened One."

The boy paled even more and started shaking. "K-k-king Elias??"

"YES KING ELIAS, HOW MANY OTHER KINGS DO WE HAVE AROUND HERE BOY???", the Baron thundered, then he calmed visibly. The boy if possible had paled even more now and was sweating. The Baron straightened up and looked at him. "Run along now, there's a good lad."

"R-r-right away Baron!"

The boy took off running as fast as he could, and the Baron sighed.

What a waste, he could've made a good squire one day.........

He turned into his chambers, and shut the door.
