Notes:

Finally, the first chapter that turned into four is complete. Can you believe this is only their first night together?!
I don't know how fast the next chapters will come out, but since this fic is spinning in my brain like a rotisserie chicken and is front and center of my current brainrot, it's likely that it might be all I work on for a while unless I need a break from it or one of my other oneshot ideas call to me.

Anyways, Enjoy!

Neuvillette is sure that he at least has something his Alpha can borrow for the night. Neuvillette's Omegan instincts preen at the mere thought of his Alpha wrapped up in something of his. Neuvillette tugs the Alpha gently from the bathroom into his room just so he can ruffle through his closet to provide something comfortable for his Alpha. The Alpha just watches him dig through his things, sitting on the floor in the threshold of the walk-in closet, wrapped once more in the blanket provided by Liath.

Uncertain that any of his clothes will fit the Alpha's broad shoulders and broad everything , the most Neuvillette can provide seems to be a cozy blue-checkered housecoat that, if memory serves, was a well-meant housewarming gift from one of the Gestionnaires some century back when he first purchased this townhouse. The item was loose and ill-fitting on Neuvillette, but the housecoat may just fit his Alpha.

"This might be all I have for you to wear for tonight," Neuvillette says as he approaches the Alpha, who wobbles to his feet when the Omega comes to stand before him.

He holds out the housecoat for the Alpha's opinion. The Alpha stares at it for a moment before he nods. Neuvillette flushes and shuts his eyes when the Alpha unceremoniously lets the blanket, the only thing covering his nudity, drop. Neuvillette lets his hold on the housecoat drop as well the second he feels the Alpha take hold of the garment.

Neuvillette spins on his heel, opening his eyes once he's sure his back is to the dressing Alpha. Forgetting completely about the full-length mirror in the corner of his closet, and getting an eyeful of his Alpha anyway. Neuvillette flushes right up to the points of his ears and tears his eyes away to gather his own clothes for the night.

Neuvillette gently shoos the Alpha from his closet once he's dressed and shuts the door so the Dragon may dress down for the night himself. Neuvillette makes quick work of it, picking a simple long nightgown for tonight merely for the ease of changing. Just so his Alpha will not be left alone for too long should Neuvillette have picked anything that took too long to change into.

The Alpha is nowhere to be found when Neuvillette re-enters his bedroom. Neuvillette panics for a moment before recalling that he had, in fact, pointed out which room he'd made up as the guest room before he ran his Alpha the bath. When Neuvillette makes his way down the hall to check the guest room, the Alpha is indeed there, sitting on the edge of the bed and peering curiously at the books that line the extra shelves kept within this room.

When he notices Neuvillette standing in the doorway, the Alpha merely gives a slight nod. Neuvillette supposes that's his way of letting the Omega know that the Alpha should be alright for the night. Neuvilllette approaches him and sits next to him on the edge, even if he could easily say what he came to from the doorway. Already Neuvillette is coming to crave the Alpha's closeness. He supposes that's the byproduct of waiting literal centuries for his destined mate's reappearance.

"I will be just down the hall, should you need anything," Neuvillette encourages gently, "And I do mean anything. It will not inconvenience me if you wake me if you need assistance."

The Alpha considers Neuvillette for a long time before he dips his head in a nod. His gaze has become less guarded as the night progressed, but it now seems more calculated and thoughtful. Neuvillette wishes he knew exactly what his Alpha was thinking. With time, he hopes the Alpha will feel comfortable to share his thoughts.
