"Hey, Chief Pechenik, there's a super famous healer here. Can I scout them out?"

"Oh, sure, just what I need."

The middle-aged man at the next table replied.

"......?"

Shurin was speechless with bewilderment.

Was this a group?

What the hell were these people doing?

"Wow, nice to meet you, I'm Erica."

The little fairy beside her stuck out her tiny hand.

Shurin shook it, mesmerized, and then came to her senses.

"Wait a minute, what's going on? I never said anything about joining a mercenary group."

"I'll provide you with the finest treatment, Chief Pechenik, sound good?"

"Sure, I just happen to have some extra money."

"No..."

Shurin scratched his forehead.

Perhaps she'd gotten caught up in the wrong con.

Or a cult.

"Excuse me, even if I look like this, I'm not the kind of person who will go anywhere, okay?"

"We're not a mercenary organization that accepts just anyone, either."

"Isn't it normal to at least introduce the mercenary group first?"

"Well, Captain Pechenik, what's the name of our mercenary organization?"

"I don't know. The Pechenik Mercenaries?"

"The Pechenik Mercenaries. There are eight of us, all acting independently, so I'm not entirely sure of their current whereabouts"

"..."

"Right now, we're bored, so we're looking for new members. Chief Pechenik, is that okay?"

"Yes, I can't stand boredom."

"We're planning to forcibly take control of the southern mercenary guilds representing the Empire. Commander Pechenik, may I share this?"

"Of course, you may."

"Crazy..."

'You're ambitious...'

Shurin covered her mouth in surprise, her words coming out the wrong way.

Erica giggled.

Cute fairy or not, Shurin had definitely drawn a line in the sand to get out of this situation.

"I see, you're going to take over the Southern Mercenary Guild... I'll join then."

She spoke without thinking.

She didn't believe in the bullshit of this mercenary guild, who were a bunch of frauds.

Healer Shurin didn't think she'd ever see them again.

Never again would she heal them with her own hands.

Years drifted by.

The seasons waxed and waned relentlessly.

Pechenik and his troupe of mercenaries went to numerous cities and towns.

Meanwhile, Erica accumulated a wealth of experience.

She engaged in battles on land, underwater, and in the skies.
