The Great Temple of Light.

The upper floors were silent.

Maids huffed and puffed as they passed through the long corridors.

Even though only the highest nobles were allowed in the upper levels, maids were needed to perform their duties.

The thoroughly trained staff were accustomed to silence.

No matter what, they never spoke of what they witnessed in the temple's upper echelons.

'...'

They never lost their composure in any situation.

'...Why is the window open?'

A maid walking through the hallway noticed a window wide open.

The wind was loud at this high altitude.

Whii—

She walked closer and tried to close the window.

Took!

Tak!

"..."

Four hands gripped the window sill.

"......!"

The maid took a step back and fell onto her buttocks.

Through the windswept window, ghostly heads of hair fluttered.

One.

Two.

"...!"

The maid's heart leaped into her throat.

"H... How did you get this high..."

Despite her long, thorough training, maintaining her composure wasn't easy.

Instead of screaming, she kept her cool.

"A-are you ghosts?"

A ghost in front of the Great Temple of Light was an out-of-place notion, but the maid couldn't help but ask.

Up in the cloudy sky, on the upper floor of a tall tower, she couldn't imagine how anyone could have climbed the outer wall.

"Move! I got here first."

Grunting, a man and a woman squeezed into the hallway through the cramped window.

"Hyuk..."

"Phew..."

Erica ran a hand through her disheveled hair, breathing heavily with each step.

Unable to find a way to the upper floors from the inside, she had scrambled up the outside wall of the building.

Somehow, she picked up speed, and it became a race.

It seemed like a draw, and she thought they might have to travel to the northern snowy mountains to test their rock climbing skills.

"Erica, you know I was the first one to touch it, right?"

"Are you kidding? I got there first!"

"Why are you so cocky? Do you want to beat me that badly?"

"What do you mean? I'm a Swordmaster now!"

"Oh, right."

"Oh, right?"

The two grabbed each other by the collars and shook them.

The maid was on the verge of fainting, her heart pounding.
