It had been a few hours since school had finished, Marlene having gotten a ride home from Billy after school.

Matilda had wanted to stay over for a while but Billy wouldn't let her as they had plans they needed to do, which only made the girl try and jump out of the car again, except because of the child lock turned on she tried to roll down the window to hop out.

This leading to her no longer having control over the window anymore. Billy had swore that he's going to have to put her in a straight jacket or something one of these days.

Opening her fridge, she took out a can of diet coke and opened it taking a sip as the home phone started to ring.

Walking over with the coke in one hand she picked the landline up with her other hand and held it to her ear.

"Hello?", she called.

"Hey Mar, It's Tatum", the person on the other side revealed themselves.

"Hey Tatum, everything alright?", she asked not having a clue as to why Tatum would be calling her.

"Yeah, me and Sid are having a sleepover at mine seeming as her dads out of town and I was wondering if you wanna come?"

"Is Matilda going?", Marlene asked hopefully, as she didn't want to be third wheeling with Sidney and Tatum.

"I dunno, I haven't been able to get a hold of her", Tatum told the girl clueless.

"Did you try call Stu, see if he's with her?", Marlene then asked.

"Yep! And Billy, all three of them have gone MIA", Tatum huffed, not liking that none of them were answering.

"Okay, I'll try get a hold of them. What time do you want me to come over at?", Marlene gave in to the idea of a sleepover.

"I'll pick you up after I collect Sid, is that okay?", Tatums voice came through the receiver.

"That's perfect", Marlene nodded.

"Okay, See you later Marls."

"Bye", the call ended.

Marlene looked down at the phone thinking if she should try call Matilda, deciding on it being a lost hope as she had important plans she was doing as Billy said.

Instead, she made her way up her stairs to prepare an overnight bag to stay the night at Tatums.

Having been waiting for Tatum to pick her up for over two hours, Marlene was in the right mind to ring her and tell her there's no need collecting her and that she's going to bed.

But before she could put any more thought to it, the landline in her house started to ring once more.

Picking it up already knowing it was Tatum she held the receiver up to her mouth. "Where the hell are you I've been waiting forever?"

"I'm sorry", Tatums voice came through. "I'm at the police station. Sid's been attacked by ghostface."

"Really?", Marlene tried to make her voice sound shocked and caring, trying not to let her hatred for Sidney shine through. "Did they find out who it is?"

"Yes! It's Billy-"

The call was abruptly disconnected as Marlene hung up the phone and rushed up, grabbing her bag and leaving her house, locking the door as fast as she could.

Speed walking down the road she lit a cigarette, taking a long drag so it would light, to calm her nerves making a haste direction for the police station.

In the police station Sidney was over with Dewey as they tried to locate where her Dad was in the system, with no luck.

"Dewey, we got that mask in", another officer placed a bunch of papers on the desk, Dewey standing as he picked them up.

"I'll be right back", he told a distraught Sidney.

Sidney looked up and through the glass across the room as she made eye contact with Billy who was turned in his seat looking at her.

Next to him was his father and Matilda was on the other side of him holding his hand, Sheriff Burke was standing in the room asking questions.

Seeing his attention was elsewhere Matilda turned her head to see what got her brothers attention only to see him and Sidney watching each other.

Placing her hand on his arm he turned to her as she shook her head at him in warning and he turned to sit back in his chair properly.

"Let me ask you this. What're you doin' with a cellular telephone, son?", Sheriff Burke asked Billy.

"Everybody's got one, Sheriff", Billy mumbled, Matilda nodding as she too had one. "I didn't make those calls, I swear."

"Why don't you check the phone bill, for Christ's sake", their dad argued, not liking that his son was arrested for murder. "Call Vital Phone Comp. They got the records of every number dialed."

"Thanks, Hank. We're on top of it", Sheriff Burke mocked their dad. "What were you doing over at Sidney's house tonight?", he directed his eyes back to Billy.

"I wanted to see her, that's all", Billy shrugged.

"And last night? Sidney said you crawled though her window last night, too", if it wasn't an interrogation yet it was now.

"You went out last night?", Hank turned to his son surprised.

"I was watching TV. I got a call from Tilly that she needed a ride back from Stu's so i went and got her, she fell asleep in the car. I decided to go for a ride", Billy told both men in the room.

Both men looked over to Matilda as Billy said that he went and got her from Stus house to which she nodded as he had gone to get her and she did fall asleep when they were on the way home.

"Did you happen to ride by Casey Beckers house?", the sheriff was quick to ask.

"No. No, I didn't", Billy leaned forward, holding eye contact. "Sheriff, I didn't kill anybody!"

"We're gonna have to hold you, son, till we get those phone records", Burke informed him.

"This is crazy", Billy muttered. "You know that? I didn't do it."

Billy looked to his father upset for a second before turning and making brief eye contact with Matilda before turning to look back out the glass of the room where Sidney seemed to still be watching.

Matilda yet again reached forward and held his hand, Billy giving it a reassuring squeeze to soothe himself or her, he wasn't sure, maybe both.
