"Sidney Prescott, who escaped a vicious attack last night, is the daughter of Maureen Prescott, who was brutally killed last year when convicted murderer Cotton Weary broke into their home and savagely raped and tortured the deceased", the three girls were sat at the table eating breakfast as the news reporter spoke on the tv, Mrs Riley placing more toast down.
"Cotton Weary is currently awaiting appeal for the death sentence, handed down after the young Sidney testified shading him. She was the key witness in the State's case against the-"
Having got off the phone Dewey walked up, picking the remote up and switching the tv off, snapping all four women's attention away from the television.
"It's never gonna stop, is it?", Sidney chuckled uncomfortably as Dewey sat down in between her and Marlene.
"Billy was released", He informed the girls to what was said on the phone. "His cellular bill was clean. He didn't make those calls."
"Shocker!", Marlene breathed out sarcastically, getting a kick to the shin under the table from Tatum.
"We're checkin' every cellular account in the county. Any calls made to you or Casey Becker are being cross referenced", Dewey was probably letting them in on too much police detail. "It's gonna take some time, but we'll find him."
"You okay?", that seemed to be the only question Tatum was asking Sidney lately.

Getting pulled up to school in Dewey's deputy car was probably the most embarrassing thing to go through Marlene thought, especially when she got out of the car with Sidney who was all the gossip at the moment.
You could just feel the stares as everyone tried to catch a look, it really just made Marlene regret not walking to school.
"Don't worry, Sid, it's school. You'll be safe here", Dewey informed the girl who was still curled in on herself, shoulders up to her ears.
"So, how does it feel to be almost brutally butchered?", A new woman with a high pitched voice had already ran up to them, many more following after her.
This was Marlene's sign to departure from the group, going to find Matilda, Stu or even Randy as she doesn't think Billy's gonna come in after just being released from jail.
Luckily for her all the reporters and paparazzi have crowded around Sidney, Dewey and Tatum so none of them could really notice she was gone or try stop her from leaving.
Entering the school she tried to think where she could find the lovestruck duo, but she didn't have to put much thought as heard them before she saw them.
Their iconic laughter was echoing around as they whispered jokes to each other, leaning against each other and the lockers behind them to keep themselves up right.
Starting to make way over to the two, Stu went to lean in and kiss Matilda but he was lightly pushed away by the girl who spotted their friend.
"Marlie!", she squealed, throwing herself in the girls arms.
Marlene huffed at the added weight and the fact that she wasn't really a touchy girl. That was a big difference between her and Matilda.
