Prologue/ Sword pt 1

Have you ever had that sinking feeling you've forgotten something?

Like when you walk into a room and don't know why?

or when you leave the house and can't seem to shake off the feeling you left something behind?

That's basically Y/n L/n in a nutshell, but they are what is forgotten. Having been passed around from orphanage to orphanage and all can't seem to handle her. So they run away, over and over and over again. This was supposed to be just another one of her escapes, not a life-changing ordeal....

~Y/n's pov~

I pack up my plastic grocery bag when I hear the caretaker's door close. I've been hoarding food for a couple of weeks so I can sustain myself as long as I can without having to get into my stash. I tiptoe past the other sleeping girls and wince at every creak. I get to the window and slide it open, making my way down with my bed sheet as a rope. I sprint into the woods, never looking back. I stop when I am about a mile away, or so I think at least... These woods always manage to confuse me no matter how many times I've seen them. I see a light in the distance "Oh shit" I mutter as I grab the granola bar I was eating and rush into a cave I see. I breathe a sigh of relief and that's when I notice a soft F/c coloured light. I creep towards it, feeling.. familiar somehow when suddenly a blinding flash of light overtakes me and everything falls to black.

I groan as I wake up, I sit up and look around. The woods look... different. The woods have a purple hue and the twisting trees seem to shift at every glance. I stand up and yell out. "Hello?! Who's there?!" There is a bright blue light coming from within the bushes, I bet someone there could help me figure out where I am! I run towards it but stop when I hear rustling nearby. "Look let me lead the way okay??"

"The light came from the edge of the forest"

"Yes, you saw the light. It's this way!"

"the tracker pad says otherwise."

"it's this way-!"  I look out the bushes and see a blonde with a coral jacket with some weird pin on the front. She has the most obnoxious poof in her hair. She is kinda hot though-

Then I see the embodiment of a speck of glitter, with the pink and purple hair and purple outfit all sparkling, it was mesmerizing in a way. With her is a boy with a white crop top with a heart on it and the coolest bow and arrow I've seen.

They all gasp and the sparkly one yells something about a soldier and they both start yelling as the blonde runs towards this glowing sword thing, the other two following closely behind. The glitter one... teleport?! What the fuck is happening?! I loudly gasp when I see that and the blonde one looks at me but gets distracted when sparkly jumps/teleports on her.  There is so much yelling, mostly from glitter over there. The blonde quickly launches her off and then takes a run at the bow and arrow guy who is holding the sword. She throws a bola at him and it trips him, making him drop the sword. The blonde and the sparkle bicker back and forth about a horde. They all pile on top of each other grunting and yelling when the blonde one touches the blue gem on the sword and a flash of bright light, making me squint. When I open my eyes I see sparkle and arrow boy tying her up. The bow and arrow one sees me and lets out a cracky yell.

"ANOTHER HORDE SOLDIER!"

The glittery one lights up her fists with more glitter and glares at me

"Woah woah" I put my hands up "I'm not part of this... whatever it is"

"Then WHY were you spying on us!" 

"I wasn't spying! I was simply observing from the bushes!"

"A likely story!" Glitter steps closer to me but then arrow guy grabs her arm "Glim... I think she is telling the truth..." I nod quickly "Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye" I half smile, trying to make a joke
