*Flashback to 7 years ago*
"You seriously think your fit enough to even consider yourself as a so called Pokemon trainer...? Don't make me laugh..." A father snaps at his son as he takes his pokeball away from him.
"Training Pokemon is a waste of time for you. Especially when you don't have the talent nor skill enough to do so!". The dad then takes the ball away, leaving the young kid to him and himself alone.
That said kid is named Cyan. Becoming a Pokemon Trainer was his biggest dream ever since he laid eyes on the Pokemon battles on his TV. Sadly this dream was quickly shut down because of their family's disapproval. However this never stopped Cyan from doing what he loved. He studied everything there was to Pokemon battles. Every day after he came home from school, studying was the very first thing he did.
*Present time*
Now, Cyan is 16 and ready to start his long awaited Pokemon journey after being held back for so long. Now remember when I said that his parents disapproved of his lifelong dream? Yeah, well they hated this idea so much that they packed all of his belongings in his backpack and kicked him out of the house, completely cutting ties with their only son. Cyan however was not phased and decided to walk to the professors house to get his first starter Pokemon.
He started walking down the depths of Sharpfin Town, the place where he spent basically his entire life at until he found himself wandering around the entire town, helplessly losing his way with each turn he took. He was about ready to give up until a girl started running towards him shouting his name in the distance.
"Cyaaaan!" A girl shouted his name in the distance. It was a childhood friend of Cyan's, Isabella. She was also starting her Pokemon journey as well. "I haven't seen you in a while so I wanted to see what my best buddy was up to! Wait, Wait, Wait! Are you planning on starting your journey as well?" Isabella asked excitedly. The energetic girl couldn't contain herself as she had realized. "Believe it or not, yeah, I am." Cyan said adjusting his cap. He looked rather serious than excited if anything.
"That's AMAZING!!" The girl busted in excitement. "Come on! I can show you where professor's lab is at!" She grabbed his arm yanking him at full speed without even any time for Cyan to react.
They arrived at the lab within a minimum of 4 minutes thanks to Isabella's running, although the both of them were very out of breath afterwards. Isabella knocks on the door while trying to catch her breath still and waits for the professor to answer.
"Are....you sure.......that their there....?" Cyan says panting for his breath. "Maybe....she went out.....somewhere....." After a few more minutes of waiting the door finally busts open and the professor finally reveals herself.
"Oh hello Isabella! It's been a while since I last seen you!" The tall light blue haired female says shaking her hand as she turns towards Cyan. "Ah, and you must be that kid she's always talking to me about! I'm professor Luna! Nice to meet you!" Professor Luna says shaking Cyan's hand immediately after she stopped shaking Isabella's.
"You two must be here for your starter Pokemon right? If that's the case then follow me! I just got the starter pokemon ready for you! But your gonna have to wait because two other people are coming to get their starter as well..." Professor Luna said the last bit a bit disappointed but was quick to happily show them around the lab. "Wait a minute, two other people? That would mean that there would be one person that can't get a Pokemon right? Usually a trainer gets to pick from three pokemon." Cyan points out. "Jeez kid, your quick to notice! Me and your friend here luckily came up with a solution for this, so we went ahead and grabbed another pokemon just for her so the other trainers can choose from the others!"
