Pokemon Black: Hurtful Purpose

As Cyan made his way to the Pokémon center to give his Pokémon a rest, he was met with a familiar figure.

It was the same person who he had met before Striaton City. This time they were sitting on the chair beside him as if they were waiting.

"Oh, it's you again." Kari greeted Cyan upon his arrival. "It's been a while since we last met each other hasn't it?"

"It has actually..." Cyan realized as he went to the counter. After he gave his Pokémon to nurse joy to heal them he went and sat down with her.

"I'm assuming you're here because of more Pokémon that needed to be taken care of right?" Cyan asked curiously.

"Right." Kari responded. "Those terrible people I was talking about last time had been up to their antics again..." She sighed tiredly. "I just barely got away last time though..."

"Tell me about it..." Cyan then thought about the pin he found when she left the first time and decided to ask her about it.

"Yo, Kari was it?"

"Yeah?"

"I found this the last time we talked. Do you know what it is?" Cyan then showed her the pin he found from the first interaction.

Kari's eyes slightly widened at the pin before asking him a question of her own.

"You found this but I thought they destroyed this.."

"Destroyed? Would it be destroyed? Does it mean something bad?"

"No don't worry about it. It shouldn't be of your concern. Please, let me see this though." Kari gently took the pin from him as she tucked it in her pocket.

While waiting for a while Cyan decided to ask her another question.

"Hey Kari there's this group of people that's been stealing Pokémon ever since I started my Pokémon journey with my well...newfound friends. Have you seen them too?"

"Yes I have...I've been dealing with them quite a lot actually...they've been such a great trouble as of recently." Kari said staring deeply into the floor.

"Judging by that question you've been encountering them too right?"

"Yeah. About two times now. I only managed to save one of them though...the second time they caught us off guard and were able to escape with two bags." Cyan responded looking down at the floor.

Kari places a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Well...I still applaud you for trying to rescue the Pokémon despite being unsuccessful...you still saved one of them did you not? So I wouldn't say it wasn't completely all for nothing."

"Yeah I guess you're right."

Just as they finished talking nurse joy returned with The Pokémon that Kari was here with. She gladly placed them all back in her pocket as she walked back to Cyan.

"I have a question for you now Cyan." Kari announced at the door.

"What is it?" Cyan asked a little bit curious to what she had to ask.

"Do you plan on becoming a champion by any chance?"

It took Cyan a few seconds think about her question before responding with a smirk.

"It's a lifelong goal of mines yeah. Was it that obvious to tell?"

"Well it's not hard to tell when I can practically see it written all over your face." She chuckled. "But on a more serious note, I hope you do make it far. Break the limits that not even the strongest can't."
