Days passed and y/n's fear of abandonment only grew, her mother-in-law would constantly threaten her making it difficult for her to live.
Jungkook noticed how she was shivering in sleep. He touched her forehead and realized she was burning with fever, she had been thinking too much about her mother-in-law's harsh words that it affected her health.
"Y/n, you are burning." he tried to wake her up.
She didn't wake up, so he picked her up and took her inside the bathroom before pouring cold water on her.
He tapped her face to wake her up but he realized she seemed weak. She hadn't been eating well because of the stress too and Jungkook thought maybe it was because of her exams.
He decided to take her to the hospital. Jungkook's mom didn't like how her son was getting inclined towards his wife, she didn't want him to take care of her.
"Jungkook, you didn't really have to take her to this hospital, it seems expensive." she complained. Jungkook's business wasn't doing quite well these days, so she was worried of the expenses.
"I will manage, she needs to be alright. I got so scared when she fell numb in my arms." he said.
"What has gotten into you? She was my choice, I got her here to assist our family, not for you to take care of her. You didn't even like her, then why are you turning soft now?" she asked.
She actually liked it when Jungkook didn't like y/n, it assured her he wouldn't be in love with her and she could have her son all by herself.
But nowadays, Jungkook spent most of the time with his wife, that was a different thing, that he would help her in her studies.
"What's wrong in it? I never said I disliked her, now when we are supposed to carry on our relationship, I am just trying to work it out. You shouldn't be saying this." Jungkook felt embarrassed of his mother. How could she think of so cheap?
"I can, because you have forgotten me. The only person you see now is her. Have you fallen in love with her?"
"It's not like I am ignoring you all, moreover even if I fall in love with her, what's wrong? She is my partner." Jungkook said rudely, he was already stressed about y/n. She was on drips now.
"And I am your mother, you can't forget me. That bitch has taken you from me. You being my obedient son seems like a distant memory now." she started crying, trying to take his sympathy.
"Mom, stop it. I am already worried." he was tired now.
"Worried for your wife more than me?" she asked.
"If that's what you think then be it, I can't keep explaining myself all the time." he walked away.

Y/n was fine now, Jungkook had been taking care of her. Y/n liked this, but she was scared this beautiful life would end soon.
Y/n blinked her eyes in anxiety as her mother-in-law entered her room furiously.
"You need something?" she asked not wanting to piss her off.
"Yes, I need you out of my house!" She glared at her and grabbed her arms dragging her out. Y/n started crying, she didn't have a home except for the one she lived in now."You are such an omen, ever since you came, my son doesn't listen to me, and my life has been a mess because of you. You can't even give me grandson, you are just a burden now." she spoke rudely.
"I am sorry, please don't push me out." she cried as Mrs. Jeon harshly dragged her out.
"Mom, don't do this. It's wrong!" Soobin said trying to stop her.
