Taehyung sighed rubbing his head, he had been investigating a murder case but he couldn't understand who it could be. The person left no clues.
"Maybe you should rest now. This case is very paranoid." Jimin said passing the coffee to his friend.
"Jimin, so far I have handled many cases but this crime seems to be done very meticulously. Like they knew what our next step would be." Taehyung frowned at the unsual case.
He was a talented police officer and had recently transferred to a new city where he was welcomed with an adverse crime.
The guy's lungs was filled with fluid due to an allergic reaction and he died in his house. It was a homicide because he was given some drugs.
"Maybe it is some psycho killer. They are very organized in crimes." Jimin said looking at the case.
"No, psychos have a pattern, they like the thrill of being chased but not caught so they would leave a sign. This case seems like a trap." Taehyung suggested otherwise.
"It's 2 in the morning, Taehyung. Fucking get some sleep." Jimin scoffed.
"Right, I really need some sleep. Lia is always upset with me these days, I can't give her time." Taehyung said standing up."She hates to sleep alone. I should go. Ever since her pregnancy, she has grown moody." He grabbed his car keys and patted Jimin's shoulder."So you work the whole night and try to capture some clue." Jimin choked on his coffee.
"What the fuck man? You are ruining my love life and night for your romance and peace?" Jimin shouted and Taehyung chuckled leaving."Guess I will have to sleep on the couch again if I get the chance to enter my house." Jimin sighed, his wife hated him working all the time and not being with her.
Taehyung parked his car in his house and frowned watching Y/n walking the road alone. She was his neighbour and lived beside his house with her husband.
"Y/n? Is everything alright? You are walking alone at night, it's not safe." Taehyung said approaching her. She smiled.
"I am fine, I just couldn't sleep. Insomnia sucks." She said and he nodded."Why were you working late?" She asked.
"Had a difficult case today, was busy dealing with it." Taehyung let out a tired sigh.
"Lia was complaining about you to me. Pregnant women don't want to demand time and love from their partners they want it unasked. She will always remember how you took care of her in her pregnancy." Y/n suggested.
"I will keep that in mind but my profession doesn't let me do that." Taehyung replied as he walked with her."Like today, it's a high profile case, I have orders from authorities above me, to solve the case soon." Taehyung told her about his day.
"The whole bureaucracy is corrupted. The world is running on capitalism." Y/n scoffed.
"Hey, don't say that. I am not corrupted, I don't prioritize cases based on their profiles. It's about which case is more worse, I take the worse one on priority and try to solve it. And coincidentally, this high profile case is." Taehyung chuckled at her words from before.
"Ok, I will believe you." Y/n shrugged her shoulders as they reached near her house."And I hope you find the killer soon."
"I hope so too." Taehyung smiled and bid her bye before he turned around to leave but stopped and looked at her door. He didn't mention it was a murder case, how did she wish him luck over it then?"Maybe she assumed the worst as I mentioned earlier." He told himself and walked inside his house."I am sorry, love." He said hugging his sleepy wife.
"Shut up." She said in her sleep and he smiled kissing her head.
"I want to treat you nice but I can't leave my work too. I want to provide you with everything." He said sighing as he slept beside her, holding her belly.
