Eda was looking out at the sunset, the orange, red, and pink skies illuminating the field and the hill where they used to meet as teenagers. Raines gaze was set on her, her hair swaying perfectly with the wind. She was so beautiful, more beautiful than the law should allow.
The admiration, and passion in their eyes as they looked at their best friend was beyond any newlywed couple. They looked at her like she was the most precious thing in the universe. "Raine? What are you staring at?" Eda asked curiously. Raine snapped out of their trance, and the first thing they noticed was how brightly her eyes shined. They started blushing, then muttered. "Uhm.. You?" Once their pathetic words escaped, they heard her laughter. "Raine! Come on be serious, I'm nothing special" Eda insisted, then looked back at the sun setting. The sky slowly grew darker, and Raine was surprised. She was absolutely special.
She was an extraordinary person, a 1 in a billion girl. She was the definition of beauty in their eyes. "You're crazy" they scoffed. Eda looked back at them with a playful smirk. "You callin me crazy?" She asked playfully. Raine chuckled, giving her a mischievous smile, one Eda didn't see often but loved all the same. "What if I am?" They asked, teasingly. Without missing a beat, coins flew at them, hitting her cheek, and shoulder. "Ow! Edaaa!!" They yelled, drawing out her name.
Her devious giggling was the best part of the situation. Raine looked down at the grass where the coins fell. They picked them up and scoffed at her. "I knew Lord calamity in her heyday, I thought throwing coins was child's play" they teased. Eda blushed, unable to come up with a comeback. "What?~ cat got your tongue?" They asked and held her chin. Her scowling was disregarded by the face she was blushing so hard.
Raine knew her silence wouldn't last forever, so they took their chance to admire who they mentally noted as their personal Aphrodite. The more they stared at her, the more nervous it caused Eda to be. Sure, She talks the biggest game known to man, but it's the little things that really get to her. Their gaze opened the tank of her confidence and emptied it out in seconds. "You know, never knew the infamous Lord calamity could be quiet so long" they teased. She hated them at this point. Not really, but she still didn't like them. "Nobody likes you" she muttered.
Raine chuckled, not noticing she grabbed a handful of dirt, and once they looked at her again, she flung it at them. Raine joined back, hearing a laugh at them. "Eda! You little cheat!" They yelled. "watch your language, whispers, your mom loves me" Eda mocked. Raine groaned, trying to get the diet out their eyes, thats when eda realized they were actually struggling. Eda crawled over to them, and sat on their lap facing them.
Raine blushed, while eda blew softly at their eyes, getting the dirt out. "I'm sorry.. " she mumbled, continuing to blow softly. Their hands made their way around her waist, resting on her hips, which she didn't mind. "Whispers, don't you know better than to touch a lady without permission?" Eda teased, her hair falling to the side. Raine scoffed. "You assulted me with dirt, I don't want to her anything from you" they remarked, sarcastically. Eda chuckled, then pushed their glasses down.
Raine blinked a few times relived the dirt was gone, but didn't let eda go. She smiled at them for a while the name asked out of the blue. "Am.. I that easy to handle?" Gesturing to their hands on her, which she still didn't mind. Raine blushed harder, then smirked. They pulled her waist to the side, and turned their body, pinning her down. "That answer your question?" They teased. Eda rolled her eyes, then blew upward to get the hair out her face. "You need a girlfriend, because your on my nerves" she scowled.
It was easy to tell she didn't mean it, mainly because she was smiling "Your stuck with me, edalyn" they teased. Eda couldn't help but smile. "Yeah.. I know" she whispered. Raine didn't realize how much they actually missed her until they had her back, until they knew they'd have to let her go again.
The moon had risen by now, shining its dim, but vibrant light on the lovers, who weren't loving just yet. They both admired the sky, in each others arms. Eda sat on their lap for a while, then realized Raine had fallen asleep while holding her. Eda smiled, then kissed their cheek lightly. "Rainestorm.. You still have a hold on me.. Even in your sleep" she whispered. Eda sighed, feeling as she didn't deserve such tender moments, especially since she knew she might have to leave soon.
Eda then felt as raine hugged her tighter in their sleep, and if the universe decided to take she out this very second she wouldn't be mad.
A couple days later, noa insisted eda actually eat, so all of them were supposed go meet at the park and find some place to get lunch. Raine couldn't come because they were caught up at work. Noa and eda were currently waiting for Lilith and Darius, while talking. "And that's what Im saying, I would totally hit that" he said, while pointing at a guy in all back. "Oh my God your gross" eda said while laughing. "Oh come on, you can't say you haven't thought about fucking an emo boy" noa scoffed. Eda chuckled. "Okay like once, in college" admitted. "See!? Told you! Their hot for no reason" noa exclaimed. "Eh, their cute at best, but not really my type" eda insisted. "Oh what, is Raine your type?" Noa teased. She rolled her eyes. "Oh stop it, Raine and I are just friends" eda said with a scoff. "You damn lie" noa remarked. "Hey come on, cut it out, just drop it" eda said, and and stood up.
Lilith and Darius heard screaming near by, their heads turned with concerns as they recognized the voices. "Oh no.. " Lilith muttered. Lilith and Darius exchanged worried looks, then hurried towards the sounds of the voices, and just as they thought, eda and noa were having a screaming match. "YOU CHICKENN!! YOU COWARD!!" Noa screamed, as eda kept her angry gaze at the ground. "YOU CAN'T FACE YOUR FEELINGS BECAUSE YOUR PATHETIC AND WEAK!!" Noa screamed at her, eda wouldn't look and them at first. "I can't live with that.. At least Im not A VIOLENT PSYCHOPATH!!" Eda yelled back, a lump in her throat forming.
Lilith and Darius watched in horror. "What are they doing!?..are they crazy!?" Darius asked. "At least I'm not a coward!!" Noa shot back angrily. "Go on, SAY IT" noa demanded. Eda stepped back, wondering what Horendus insecurity noa would make her admit. "If you won't accept Raine is in love with you, say you hate them!!" Noa demanded. Edas eyes widened, then noticed Lilith and Darius as well, as other people who heard them. "GO ON SAY IT!!" Noa screamed at her.
Eda's eye twitched as her body started moving forward. "SAY IT!!" Noa screamed again, and once the words left his mouth, eda had punched him in the face. Lilith gasped covering her mouth, as people were actively watching the whole thing now. "YOU DON'T ANYTHING ABOUT HOW I FEEL!" Eda screamed, while grabbing noa by the shirt, tears clouding her vision. "YOU HAVE NO IDEA! AND YOU NEVER WILL!! BECAUSE YOUR SO STUPID!" Eda yelled, them pushed noa to the ground, while he looked at her stunned, and speechless.
Tears streamed down edas cheeks, ad she could no longer act, or keep her composer. "Always thinking n with your heart instead of your head!" Eda argued, then grabbed at her head and screamed. "ID KILL TO BE THAT WAY!!" Noa tried to get up only for eda to shove him back down. "If I told Raine how i really felt.. THEY'D LEAVE EVERYTHING BEHIND FOR ME!!" Eda yelled, desperately trying to clear her face of the tears, which she soon realized her efforts were futile. "Their hopes! Their dreams! They'd sacrifice EVERYTHING!! If they knew the truth they'd do it!" Eda cried, Lilith had gotten the courage to finally get to her sister and hold her back.
Not because she thought eda would do something, but because eda needed someone by her side right now. "Thats the kind of person they are!.. And I.. " eda voice started to break, as she turned to her older sister for comfort. "I'm not worth it.. " she whimpered. Eda hugged her sister, while Lilith slowly sat down with her. "Eda I.. " noa muttered as the words got caught in his throat. "I'm sorry" he whispered.
Darius sat with them, while all the people looked at eda with so much sympathy it revolted her. "Why is this so hard.. " eda asked, as her voice recovered. "I don't know..just know you are absolutely worth it.. " Lilith replied.
