Princess to the public, but a freak when it's time.

Chapter Two

Finally school was over and I can get out of here and start my weekend. It's Friday so that means I'm gonna spend it at the public library. My parents are gone for the weekend at a business trip, and I know that Kate is gonna be with Luke so I didn't want to be at home. As I was making my way out the doors to start walking to the library I heard someone call my name. I turn around and saw Ms. Bale signaling to come towards her. "Alyssa may I speak with you for a minute," Ms. Bale asked. "Umm yea, what you need?" I replied. "As you know I paired you up with Calum," oh no what happened. "I am counting on to make sure he turns in all his work when told and if you ever have any problems with him don't be scared to tell me ok." "Yea, may I be dismissed now?" "Yes you may, have a nice weekend." "You too, bye Ms.Bale, "Bye Alyssa," and with that I left. I walked out the front doors and started to head to the direction where the library is.

"Young lady we are closing in 5 minutes are you checking these out?" I heard the librarian ask me. "Um no I already read these, have a good night bye". I walked out and notice it was starting to get dark, so I headed home.
"Omg you got to be kidding me" I said under my breath. Like always my sister was throwing a party, I should've seen this coming with my parents out of town. I walked in greeted by a bunch of teenagers dancing, drinking, and making out. Ugh, I hate parties. "Excuse me" I said to everyone in my way. Finally. "Kate, what the heck!?" I yelled at my sister over the loud music. "You know how much I hate this! I just wanted to come home and study!" "Omg! Alyssa loosen up and have some fun!" I hear Luke say over the music. I groaned and rolled my eyes and walked away. I made my way through the sea of teenagers and up the stairs to my bedroom. I closed the door and locked it, not wanting anything to happen like those other times. I sat on my bed and put on my head phones and started to read The Maze Runner, I've read it like a hundred times but who doesn't like it, right? After a while I started to get hungry, so I went downstairs to get a snack and something to drink. "Hey hey hey guess you finally came down to join the party," Kate says as soon as she spots me. "I just got hungry", " Aww don't be such a party pooper Alyssa!" Luke yells at me while grabbing another beer. "Please Alyssa just one party and if you don't like it I'll never throw one again," Kate pleaded. I just stood there thinking if I should or not, one party isn't gonna kill me, right? At least that's what I thought. "Ugh fine just one party and that's it!" "Yay come on let's dance" Kate said while pulling my arm. The song that was on was Throw Sum More. I listen to this song because my sister loves them, and I can't lie I find them really good. My sister starts grinding on Luke and I'm just standing there looking awkward. "Hey, why do you look so lonely?" I turn around to find non other than Calum Hood standing behind me. "First party huh, don't worry come with me". He extended his hand so I could take it, I turn around and see that Kate and Luke were gone. "C'mon I won't bite," I hear Calum chuckle. I looked back at his hand and finally grab it. He pulls me past all these people and we enter a room. There are other people here, they were playing beer pong. Calum guides me to a table where these other two boys are and Luke is also there with my sister. I recognized the boys from school, the other two boys that hang out with Luke and Calum. I believe the one with brown shaggy hair is Ashton and the one with the blueish hair is Michael. "Ok, I'll go first", Michael says. The game went on for awhile and Ashton was already drunk and Michael was getting there. It was my turn again and I throw the ball and miss, ugh why do I have to suck. Calum goes over and brings me the red cup and I drown it down feeling the liquor burn my throat. Calum wasn't even tipsy yet and I was rather tipsy. My sister and Luke had left again probably doing "couples stuff" in her room, if you know what I mean. After a few more throws I got tired of playing and started to walk away. I could feel someone following me, so I turned around and see Calum behind me. We stared at each other for a few moments and before I know it we were making out. I don't know if it was because of the liquor rushing in or not, but I didn't pull away and he didn't either. After awhile we pulled away at the same time, out of breath. "Um I'm gonna go to my room". I say while starting to walked away, but then I feel him grab my wrist and pull me back. "This never happened, ok. It was just the liquor, I don't even like you. Don't even think just because we kissed I'm gonna be nice to you or any thing like that. Understand this never happened and it will never change the way I feel about you". Calum told me, I felt something inside me break and I don't even know why. All I did was nod and walked away and upstairs to my room. I felt like crap after all that happen with Calum, there was always a part of me that had the tiniest crush, but after what just happen I could feel it get bigger. I was a blushing mess just thinking of how me and him were making out. His hands on either side of my head against the wall and my hands around his neck. Our tongues fighting against each other and our lips moving in sync. Oh my gosh! I have a crush on Calum Hood, the bad boy that's made my life a living hell. How the heck am I suppose to face him on Monday, matter of fact, how am I suppose to be his partner for the rest of the school year. Will I be able to set my crush aside for now or will the feelings get stronger? This is gonna be a long year.
