The silence semed to be much worse than the pained noises and dark chuckle Alejandro had heared before, now it was nothing but his own breath. "Ghost? Ghost, are you still with me?"
Silence.
The Colonel gulped and stood up from where he sat on the ground, carefully stepping closer to the door, to look through the window. "Ghost?" He tried it again.
Simon was laying with his back against the wall, a hand pressed thighly against his injury. Graves was gone, at least something good. For the moment.
The blonds mask was still covering his face, but Alejandro could see the open eyes and how his chest was raising and falling slowly. Good, he was alive.
Probably dissociated to escape the situation. Graves had proven that he was willing to be cruel, he couldve just used a bandage, but no he had burned the wound close.
A loud 'thud' made him step back from the door, a Shadow had kicked against it. "Food." He said coldly and opened the door. For a second the Colonel just wanted to sprint forward and knock the soldier out, but the Shadows in the background were to many.
He wouldve been shot before he even reached the door, which had closed the moment the food tray hit the floor. The footsteps left and he realized that they hadnt given any food to Ghost.
.
Soap felt his shoulders slump further down, he was almost there, only a few more feet. The adrenaline was gone, with the safety the exhaustion followed. If he could, he would sleep for days.
But that wasn't possible, not when his partner was still in the hands of a traitor.
"Soap!" Price voice was loud, the Captain run up to the car, that Soap stopped now. The door got opened and Price instantly looked over his soldier. The blood, the bullet wound, the exhaustion, the tired eyes.
"Im sorry, son." The Captain mumbled and pulled Soap out of the car seat, making sure to let his weight be on his own shoulders. "The medic waits for you, we fix you right back up and go after that bastard."
The Sergeant nooded, not able to say much when his thoughts only wandered around one thing. "They have Simon. Graved has Simon... he got stabbed."
Price eyes widen, but he quickly gained his composure. "Simon is a though cookie, he'll make it." Two medics run up to them, they helped Soap onto a sluggish and instantly started to take care of the wound.
"Get him back Price." Soap whispered, the exhaustion and blood loss had grown to much, he felt his consiousnnes slip. With a last bit of strenght he gabbed onto his Captains shoulder. "Dont you dare leave him behind..."
Price watched Soap fall unconsious, it hurted to watch, the guilt that he had let his men down was apparent. "Of course not, never. We'll find him and bring him home."
.
"Ghost, hey Amigo. He's coming back." Alejandro whispered, trying to be quiet enough so Graves didn't hear him, but also loud enough so Ghost would break out of his dissoaciation.
And the Lieutenant did, he blinked multiple times, felt the sharp burning sensation in his side and wrapped his hand around it further.
Just the moment he managed to sit up, the door was almost slammed open. "Wakey, wakey, little ghost." Graves voice was similar to singing, he seemed to get a kick out of his power position.
"And? Are you more talktive now?" He asked and crouched down in front of the masked soldier, who still just glared at him. "No? Okay, thats fine with me. I have all time in the world, they wont find you anyways."
