Chapter 2

As Abhishek returns home, his heart heavy with the weight of disappointment over his exam results, he braces himself for Shubhman's reaction.

He knew that by this time his brother would be in home from the office.
His father was out of the town for business meeting so Shubhman was handling all the office work alone.

Shubhman was sitting in the living room, typing something in his laptop.

Abhishek stood infront of them, Shubhman looks up from his laptop and notice Abhishek,

"Kya hua? Itna nervous kyu hai?

"Bhaiya.. woh mera result aagya. " Abhishek sighs giving Shubhman his results. He knew shubhman is very particular about his studies.

Abhishek: hesitantly "This time it is not so satisfactory. I've not done well in mathematics which impacted my score overall.  But it's not Ishan's fault this time. I just couldn't grasp some of the concepts."

Shubhman's eyebrows furrow in skepticism, suspecting Ishan's influence in Abhishek's academic setbacks.

Shubhman: "Are you sure, Abhishek? Ishan has a habit of distracting you from your studies. That boy khud nahi padhta dusro ko bhi nahi padhne nahi deta"

Abhishek: "No, Bhai. It's not Ishan's fault this time. He's been supportive, and I don't want to blame him unfairly"

Shubhman pauses, surprised by Abhishek's defense of Ishan. After a moment of contemplation, he nods, acknowledging Abhishek's perspective.

"I see. In that case, we'll focus on helping you understand the concepts better. I'll teach you the math concepts again whenever I get time"

Abhishek's face brightens and sighs in relief. But he remembers about Ishan now.

"Bhai.. woh ek aur request thi" Abhishek asked.

"Yes?"

"Woh Ishan.. He failed the math subject and I think he could benefit from your guidance. Uss bechare ko toh koi sikhane wala bhi nahi hai. Could you please teach him also?" Abhishek asked giving Shubhman puppy eyes.

Shubhman hesitates for a moment, considering Ishan's notorious reputation he thought of Ishan as a careless brat but he couldn't deny his brothers request.

"Hmm... Alright, I'll teach Ishan as well. But he needs to show genuine effort and focus during our study sessions"

"Thankyou Bhai!!! You are besttt in the world" Abhishek said hugging shubhman while shubh just chuckled.

Abhishek calls Ishan he is too excited to share the news with him.

Here Ishan was sleeping in his room, hugging a pillow and snoring slightly.

Ishan's phone ranged disturbing his sleep he cut the call but the phone rang again.

"Kya hai yaar! Soone mt do chain se!"Ishan said irritated.

"Uthh jaa beta abhi Jo batane wala hu woh sunn ke nind udne wali hai wese bhi" Abhishek said from other side

"Pata hai kya mne bhaiya ko request ki ab woh tumhe maths sikhayenge"

"Wait! Whatt" All the sleep few away instantly from ishan's eyes.

"You're not serious!"

"I am serious Ishan. After all I don't want my best friend want to fail and repeat whole year" Abhishek smirked.

"Tu pagal hai? Your brother is Hitler" Ishan made a crying face.

"But that Hitler is your crush!!" Abhishek said bluntly.
Yes Ishan was Bi and nobody except Abhishek knew about it.

Abhishek even knew about ishan's flings. One day Ishan jokingly told him that he has a crush on shubhman and he is handsome, from that day Abhishek started his "Ishman" campaign.

"Shh, abee tujhe bola hai kitni baar ye sab aise khulle me mat bol. Diwaro ke bhi kaan (ears) hote hai!" Ishan said him.

"Achha okay. But come to my house this evening. Bhaiya office se aane ke baad sikhayenge" Abhishek told him.

Ishan thought for a while as also works in a cafe doing a part time job.

"Haa aajaunga me. Don't worry"

Ishan ended the call he was feeling nervous as this was the first time he would have an interaction with Shubhman.
