Y'ALLLLL

WE ONLY HAVE 2 MORE CHAPTERS--

I AM NOT OKAY--

I will be republishing a few books (the final walking dead book is top priority and is first to be republished) after finishing up this story, and then we're going to move on to a new story! I am not sure exactly what the new story will be but I do have multiple ideas :) One main idea I have is for an Arthur Morgan x Reader story! I still have quite a bit of planning for that story so it might take a bit to actually start though-- we'll see!

The air was still, the full moon shining down onto the Sheppard Metalworks building. The sky was covered in a thin layer of dancing stars, hues of purple and dark blue mixing together.

Bigby steps out of the taxi, (Y/N) soon exiting after him after hastily paying the driver. Bigby shuts the car door and pats his hand firmly on the roof, signaling the driver to leave. Bigby watches as the driver drives off, the man's hand tucked in his pocket as he turns to face the building with (Y/N).

The building was old and built up with bricks, the top front of the building reading Sheppard Metalworks in ebony metal. Piping ran up along the brick, some graffiti scattered along the walls as decoration. A single copper, rusted door led inside, an old light flickering above it with a few stray moths fluttering around it. The car of the Crooked Man was parked out front, a dumpster pushed against the righthand wall.

Sheppard Metalworks, Late Night

(Y/N) looks up at the building with narrowed eyes, her body tense and on edge, knowing that Mary was no doubt inside with the Crooked Man. Determined anger fills her as her fist clenches at her side, the woman unafraid of what was to come with Bigby at her side.

Bigby, also looking up to the building, exhales deeply, the hairs on his arms and neck raised, the man on high-alert. His instincts were already warning him of the dangers of entering the building, his wolf nature bristling at the thought of his mate in danger. However, he knew it'd be futile to convince her to stay outside-- but the man didn't want that. He wanted her at his side.

His eyes shift to (Y/N), the woman noticing this and looking to him in return. He offers a confident, wolfish grin as he nods his head towards the building, (Y/N)'s expression softening with both determination and anticipation as she nods as well with a faint smile.

Bigby approaches the copper door with (Y/N), their shadows cascading along the cracked concrete ground. He reaches out, grasping the handle of the door. He attempts to turn it downward, but it does budge, Bigby frowning as he rattles it a few times.

He sighs deeply. "Of course..."

"When has anything been easy for us regarding this whole nightmare?" (Y/N) questions rhetorically, huffing with bitter amusement as she shakes her head.

Bigby can't help but grunt with a hint of amusement in agreement, the man setting his other hand on the handle. His arm muscles flex as he begins to push the handle downward, (Y/N)'s eyes drawn to the man's straining forearms as her cheeks slowly begin to heat up at the enticing sight.

The door handle angles downward easily with his strength, the tip of Bigby's ear twitching lightly when he notices the distinct shift in speed of (Y/N)'s heartbeat. His eyes flick to watch her subtly out of the corner of his eye, the man noticing her attention on his arms. His lips curve down in a small, intrigued frown, the man's eyes flicking down to his arms. Unable to resist, he purposefully flexes his biceps, the muscle straining a bit within the rolled up sleeves of his shirt, a vein forming along the inside of his forearm.
