8. Dinner

"Lotte." I say and turn down the music as we drive to the restaurant.

"Ya?" She responds.

"How do you think today went? Like with the girls." I ask. I think they like me but I honestly have no clue. The girls seem very nice and they're definitely welcoming. All of them made sure to talk to me more than once today and all asked questions trying to get to know me.

"They love you. I mean I watched all your game when I could and they'd watch with me. A few of the girls look up to you. Though I think a few of them were a little star struck today." She says with a laugh. That makes me feel a bit better. I just give her a little laugh. I can't help but be a little awkward when people talk about me.

"They'll probably talk more tonight. But they definitely like you and they all think you're a great addition to the team. As do I." Lotte says and pats my back.

I let out a sigh of relief and continue the drive.

We make it to the restaurant and before we get out of the car I say " Thank you Lotts."

"For what?" Lotte says with a little laugh.

"For everything." I say completely serious getting my point across. I look at Lotte and she nods and smiles.

"I love you sis." She says and opens the door getting out.

"I love ya too. Now enough with the sappy shit I'm starving." I say. Lotte laughs and we walk towards the restaurant. I open the door for Lotte and myself and we walk in.

"Hello, we have a table already. It should be under mead." I say to the front desk with a smile.

"Ahh yes right that way." He says and points. We look over and see the girls.

"Awesome thank you and is there any way I can leave my card so they can't pay." I ask and he laughs but nods. I look at Lotte and she just shakes her head with a laugh. She probably knew I was gonna do this.

"Awesome. Thanks for the help." I say. I hand him my card and I see him put it with our information for our table in a lock box type thing.

"Of course." He says with a nod and smile.

Lotte and I walk to where he said and most of the girls are already seated talking. The first to see us is Beth and she stand up and waves like a mad woman.

"Beth sit down." We hear Viv say clearly embarrassed but still laughing as she pulls at Beth's shirt. The girls laugh at Beth as we make it to the table and greet the girls.

"Hey guys." Lotte says giving a few of the girls hugs. "Is anyone else coming?" She asks as she sits down. I sit next to her leaving space to my right.

"We're just waiting for-" Leah goes to say but is cut off.

"Sorry we're late. We got lost." Alessia says as her a Vic get to our table.

"WE did not ALESSIA did." Vic says teasing and Alessia just blushes. I take in Alessia's outfit. She wearing a maroon colored dress with a black suit top over it. She looks beautiful. I quit my day dreaming when I get elbowed in the ribs by Lotte. I look at her and she just smirks. Damn it she must have caught me checking Alessia out. I just roll my eyes. It's not like I like her. She just pretty I'll admit that. Alessia and Vic go to sit down.

"Is it alright if I sit here?" Alessia asks me with a smile. God that smile. I need to stop.

"Oh yeah of course." I say and pull it out with one hand. She smiles and sits down.

"Now we're all here." Leah says finally answering Lottes question. Lotte laughs and nods.

"So Izzi how was your first day being a gunner?" Katie practically yells.
