"Not to rush you, Y/n, but do you happen to have the invitations I asked you to make?" Arlecchino asked in the same gentle and soothing voice you'd become accustomed to whenever she addressed you. You nodded, reaching into the pocket of your clothes and taking out a large stack of envelopes.

"Claire helped me finish them just this morning," you replied as you took one of the three teacups off the tray that was sitting on the coffee table in front of you and brought it to your lips, blowing gently to cool it off, "Let me know if they're not to your liking though, and I'll have them changed." The Knave picked up the envelopes and sorted through them, admiring your handy work with a smile.

"They're perfect." She replied before turning towards the set of stairs nearby. Shuffling could be heard from the second floor, which you assumed to be Lyney and Lynette running about upstairs as they completed whatever task they'd been assigned right now. "Lyney!" The white haired woman called, "Would you and Lynette mind delivering these invitations like we discussed?" There was a faint 'Of course father!' As the magician fumbled about some more on the upper floor before he and his twin finally made their way down the steps; each with a bag slung over their shoulders.

As soon as they noticed you in the living room, they both smiled. "Y/n!" Lyney exclaimed as he came over to take the envelopes from Arlecchino. "It's wonderful to see you again! I hope you've been well." You resisted the urge to chuckle at his formality, presumably because of the presence of the navy haired man sitting across from you.

"I have been, thank you," you replied, putting on your typical formal voice, "And it's lovely to see you as well." His smile widened at that before he reached out and took the invitations his 'father' was holding.

"Thank you," she grinned and he simply nodded before turning to Lynette, who gave you a small smile of recognition before the two of them headed out of the room and towards the front door.

Though you'd only been here for a few minutes, it seemed preparations were already underway. A small sigh of relief escaped your lips at the sight; knowing Arlecchino was already making good on her promise to handle things so you wouldn't need to worry about it.

Now that the three of you were alone again, you finally turned back to the wanderer sitting across from you and smiled sweetly. He seemed more than a little confused about what was going on, but you could tell he was trying to hide it as he glanced between you and the harbinger at your side. You held back your amusement as you turned to the Knave, who cleared her throat.

"I'm going to be hosting a banquet in a few days," she explained simply, "that's what all the preparations are for. I'm sure you've heard how much work goes into hosting a large formal occasion such as that in Fontaine." He raised an eyebrow at that but nodded anyway. At the mention of the banquet, you couldn't help but feel a little nervous. Of course, you and Arlecchino had already discussed the plan extensively, but talking about it and actually executing it were two very different things.

You were about to speak up and explain what it was for when Freminet suddenly entered the room and stood at attention, waiting for his master to call on him to speak. Seeing how eager he looked to deliver her news, the Knave gestured for him to do so. "What is it, Freminet?"

"Everything is prepared for the event's entertainment," he replied; sparing a glance in your direction as he did so. You felt your heartbeat quicken a bit but you forced yourself to remain calm.

Rather than focusing on the upcoming banquet, you turned your attention back to Wanderer. You hadn't realized it earlier, but looking at him now, something seemed so familiar about him. You couldn't quite put your finger on it, but you almost felt like you'd met him before. Of course, that was impossible. The Knave had explained to you that he was the one sent by the dendro Archon all the way from Sumeru. You'd only ever lived in Fontaine and Snezhnaya your whole life, and had been so sheltered while in the icy nation that there was no way your two paths could have ever crossed.
