"Are you sure, Your Royal Highness? Do you want to select me as your groom? You sure you can handle me" A deep voice echoed throughout the pin-drop silent room
When she stopped at him, everyone in the crowd shut their mouths! Not even a single person breathed loud.
They can't believe why their future Queen is choosing him out of all people. Everyone thought Haesoo was going to be their King. They even spent so much on him! What is this princess thinking??
"Why? Do you think I can't?" Anika Smirked looking at the man
"Maybe?" He arched his eyebrow playfully.
"People say I'm cruel and merciless! But I'm sure they don't know you are more monstrous than me!" He laughed loudly.
"I'll take it as a compliment, My King !" Anika smiled
"That was indeed a compliment, My Queen! So glad to be your companion!" He lowered his head in front of her as she smiled putting the garland on him.
"Her Highness Anika has selected Prince Jeon Jungkook as her groom!" Priest of the Kingdom announced loudly to the dead-silent crowd.
Anika turned her head to face an angered face Haesoo!
"What is the meaning of this Ani???? After all the time we spent!! You are choosing this monster over me???" Haesoo screamed at Anika who was with a blank face.
"Why did you do this???" Haesoo grabbed Anika's arms, squeezing her tightly, surely leaving marks.
Jungkook's eyes turned dark, he grabbed his sword to cut Haesoo's head off.
Anika looked at him and smiled a little shaking her head to tell him to stay still.
"Mr Haesoo! Unhand the Princess!!" Jimin yelled grabbing his collar and throwing him on the ground.
"This is unacceptable behavior to touch a princess! If it isn't for the sake of your adoptive parent's reputation you would have been beheaded!!" Jimin dead-paned at Haesoo who was still lying down.
"Drag him away!" Jimin ordered the royal guards as they did.
Haesoo was screaming at Anika who was looking away from him.
"Anika! Don't do this!! You will regret this!!!" Haesoo screamed, getting dragged out by guards and getting humiliated.
Anika turned around to face the girl who was turning red because of the anger!
Anika's smirk stunned her.
"Are you feeling alright, sweetheart!" Jungkook asked holding her arms just where haesoo squeezed.
Jungkook ran his thumps on the bruise gently soothing her.
"I'm fine more than I can ever be!" Anika said looking proudly at Jungkook.
