(OH MY GOD I FEEL SO BAD!!!! Life has really just overtaken me! SO! I will post more of this....starting.... NOW!)

Sirens could be heard, several ambulances rushing down the street. Before they arrived, however, blue lights flashed. A black SUV pulled up alongside the curb. Three people stepped out. One female dressed in red and black. One male covered in a suit. The final male wore a leather coat across his shoulders, covering some of his jeans.

Alec Hardy looked up, but looked back at Jack with concern flashing in his dark eyes. The Captain's chest barely moved. The D.I. stood up as the three approached, guns in their hands. "Gwen, you check around, Ianto, stick with me." The leathered man commanded. The female left the group and began to search the other surrounding perimeter.

Owen stepped forward, taking notice of the standing detective. "Who the hell are you?" He sneered, motioning for Ianto to look around the scene. The tea boy took a step forward, but Alec stopped him. "Excuse me." Ianto said softly. Alec shook his head, eyes harsh.

Owen growled softly and opened his mouth, but was unable to speak as two ambulances pulled up, paramedic's rushing in.

Ianto's eyes landed on the body behind Alec. He tapped Owen's shoulder. "Shit." Owen muttered, taking a step forward as the paramedic's picked up their leader and put him on a stretcher. "Jack!" Ianto whispered, looking down at the person he loved as they took him away. He turned to Alec, gun in hand as the paramedic's cleared out. "What the hell did you do to him!" He hissed.

Alec had tried to follow Jack, but was stopped by another man. He looked down at Ianto. He remained silent.

Gwen came back and heard the news from Owen and Ianto. Tears shined in her eyes. "I...is he dead?" She asked Owen softly. He shrugged in response. "Any sign of the Weevil?" He asked.

Ianto still held Alec at gunpoint, forcing him back against the wall. Stress bubbled inside the Detective, causing his vision to sway.

Everything had been happening so fast. The Torchwood leader had been taken away, an alien had been killed, the team had arrived. Nothing could process in anyone's mind.

Alec's mind was moving at a hundred miles an hour. He closed his eyes trying to process it all.

"Ianto!" Owen called, "Come on! Leave him! The important thing now is making sure Jack's okay!"

Ianto sighed and turned on his heels, rushing over to the car. The SUV drove off.

The police showed up. They found Alec, leaning against the wall with a blank look on his face. They called in D.S. Ellie Miller to take over for him while he went back to the inn and rested.

The D.I. sat on his bed, running a hand through his messy hair. This day had been quite the living hell. He sighed heavily and rubbed his eyes. He laid down, crossing his ankles. He supported his head with the wooden board on the end of the bed. He placed his hand in his pocket and fished out an old pocket watch. His thumb traced over the engraved circles. This watch had been stuck for as long as he could remember.

Owen, Gwen, and Ianto walked into the hospital room, their leader sitting up forcing the nurse to let him leave. He had several tubes in his arm, but his hand was on the tubes, ready to yank them out.

"Jack?" Ianto asked lightly, causing the Captain to look up. His eyes lit up. He shooed the nurse away as his team approached the bed. "Hey!" He said with a smile on his face.

"You okay?" Ianto asked. "Course Yan!" Jack said and squeezed the tea boy's hand reassuringly.

The meeting with Torchwood had been ended quickly. They had been forced to leave.

They drove off to the inn. The team entered, recoiling as they saw the familiar face of the man from earlier. Owen told the other two to get a room, while he approached the man. He sat at the table, watching his eyes light up in surprise.

"What do you want?" Alec muttered. He had been thinking of the cases, also planning on seeing Jack.

"You know Jack."

"Yes?"

"How?"

Alec shrugged. "Confidential."

"Listen, nothing is confidential to me."

"Is that a threat?"

"Only if you make it one." Owen smirked and leaned back in his chair.

Alec shrugged and rolled his eyes. "Who are you?"

"Torchwood." He said easily.

Alec raised an eyebrow and shrugged. "Jack's never mentioned you."

"So, how did you meet him?"

"He's a suspect." He said easily before standing up and leaving without another word.
