HE WAS INSANE .

CONFRONTATION

"As if you're gonna give it to me " she snarled . "Nobody can ever give me what I lost. NOBODY WILL EVER TRY TO BECAUSE NOBODY CARES !!!"

She was getting on my nerves . The audacity to complain after what she had been doing . "HOW ON EARTH WILL ANYONE TRY TO WHEN YOU GO AROUND DOING NOTHING BUT CAUSE TROUBLE AND HURT EVERYONE?", I shot back .

Her face dropped . I'm sure she isn't used to being talked back to like that .

But it again twisted up in anger . " You don't know how miserable i can make your life , do you?" She smirked .

"Hah... Make my life miserable? It already is. If you haven't realised that yet. And it's just gotten worse because of you. I don't know what do you get out of it , but all I can say is that you are a horrible creature who is hated by everyone and have got no other purpose than to make other people's life as pathetic as your existence" I blurted all in one breath .

I saw a hint of pain in her eyes after I said . I don't know why but even after she did all that to me , I somewhat felt sorry for her .
And i had almost forgotten about the pendant when I caught sight of it .
It had lost its brightness , lying like a dull stone in her hand .

She stared at it blankly too ...

This was my chance . Taking a deep breath , I made a sudden leap and tried grabbing it from her . But all I did was make it fall on the floor .

She came back from her trance , furious once more . I couldn't waste a second . I went for it at once when she caught hold of the back of my collar , and yanked me backward .

I fell on the my back with a thud with her glaring down at him . She got on top of me forced me down again . I tried fighting her off but she was just too strong . She pulled back her fist and was about bring down a hard punch when

" Luke what are you doing!??" My mom called out while opening the door .
The sudden brightness blinded my eyes and left my mind in a haze . She was carrying a plate in her hands .
I quickly got up and composed myself .
" Are you ok? She asked concerned.
I looked around . Nothing was to be seen . Just the pendant lying on the floor . I stepped on it very subtly to avoid doubts .

"Y-Yeah I'm fine" I murmured.

She sat down on my bed . "I've made pudding. Your favourite."

I didn't know what to say . I went near her while dragging the pendant under my foot and sat down . I pushed it under the bed .

She took a spoon and started feeding me . I stayed silent . Couldn't help feeling useless as always . It hurt me to see her still trying .

"You know I will love you no matter what right ?" She said softly .
I nodded . " I just hate not being worthy of your love . I don't want to make both of you upset . I want to be normal , mom . But i just can't help it . I really can't . And I'm not lying. Please believe me." I couldn't stop my tears .
She caressed my head . "A son is always worthy of a mother's love honey. I do want to believe you. But --- " she trailed off .

I knew what she meant . She wanted to believe me . But I was crazy .

I finished the plate and she left . I smiled a little .

And then reached out to take the pendant out of the bed .

Only to find it missing .
