Episode- 71

    In the evening,

       I was sitting  on the bench in the garden, Adrian is not in the palace so… should I escape today… I won’t get a second chance… I can fight anyone, but he.. he is something different…

        I should… I think I should, I looked around, the caretaker is with me, and Beth never leaves me alone.. and here are 4 guards around me, and we are 15 minutes away from the main palace…. I don’t even have my dragger near me.. I haven’t touched a weapon for long…

   I got up and started walking to the garden, they were following me… I need to think something fast… I was about to walk in the wood when Beth said, “My Lady, you can’t go in there…” I turned at Beth and forced a smile. I said, “I didn’t realized… we should go back…”

     As I took a step, I saw the guard landing on the ground. I noticed the other guard falling, too. Attack…. It didn’t take them long to shoot them all of down, and there were just these 4 guards with me.. and no one is around in this area.. Beth was in panic. She was trying to pull out of there.. I heard the caretaker, “My Lady.. please… we need to get to a safe place..” they were trying to pull me out of there, and I was about to walk further when I noticed this man.. he walked out of the woods as he was pointing his arrow at Beth. No!...

     I recognize him even when he is covering his face with a cloth. It’s Kempt… he is very close to Tristan. They are sent here to take me. I stood in front of Beth and pushed the caretaker behind me.

    Kempt frozen, there are few men behind him. I can’t let them hurt someone innocent.. I said strongly, “you can’t hurt her… don’t kill her…”

   I am afraid they will listen to me or not… after Tristan knows that I am with child, I am afraid that they will not take my orders as before… but if they do then they are the same and I am safe with them. my heart is beating fast…

   Beth was constantly murmuring things in fear, Kempt stretched the bow a little, and I was worried the arrow would shoot out any moment. I said again, “If you hurt her… then… then there would be no difference in your actions … you will be the same as King Edmund… he killed innocent, and you are doing the same…”

   Kempt lowered his arrow and raised his hand to signal his men to lower the weapon. Kempt walked further to me and said, “FINE… but I will do what master asked me to do..” What does he means….

    Kempt said, “Don’t worry… we will not harm these women… we are not same as Edmund…” I gulped. I heard the caretakers light scream… I turned back to see her unconscious on the ground.. the man was pressing a cloth against Beth’s face… I saw her eyes rolling..

     Kempt just said, “Unconscious… not dead…” I turned to him, and I smelled something horrible, but my eyes sight blurred..what…. was…. That……
