Sonic is light sleeper. Due to the fact he uses allot of energy from his running, he sleeps quite often.
You need energy to run, but you need to sleep to get energy, but Sonic doesn't like to rest, he likes to run!
(Hence why he sleeps allot; he takes a half an hour nap at a time)
