ෆ you thinking you were single over a single assumption is cute
"Seriously thanks, I had fun," you told Corey, your classmate, who had been begging for a chance with you, and you finally allowed him to take you out for lunch.
You had a few classes with him at your University, and he had been trying to get with you for the longest. The only thing standing in the way before was Johnny, your boyfriend. No one really expected you to end up dating the guy, seeing you had a bright future, while he seemed to be leading a violent life.
You had recently broke up with Jo, after getting it a fight with a random girl at a party, after she claimed you slept with her man - Jo. You moved on, avoiding him completely, but he didn't seem to get the memo, constantly acting as if nothing happened. It didn't help much that you lived right down the street from him.
"Aye, what you doing?" You turned to the window, seeing Kevin, his younger brother, knocking on the glass.
"Go away," you shooed him away, hoping that he would leave you alone. Shaking his head, he turned to leave, entering the apartment building.
"Who was that?" Corey furrowed his eyebrows.
"Nobody, I'm sorry about that," you sighed, sitting back in the seat.
"It's coo-
"Fuck is you doing?" Jo came out of the building, Kevin following behind. He wore a white wife beater, his hair freshly twisted. Walking to the car, he pulled on the handle.
"Aye, bro, don't touch my car," Corey said, rolling the window down.
"Shut the fuck up, nigga, get the fuck out," he told you.
"Y/n, you don't have to listen to this nigga," Corey said, but from the look Jo gave him, if you didn't, then he was a dead man.
"It's okay, thank you, I'll see you later," you told him, opening the door. As soon as it was opened, he snatched you out, slamming the door. Grabbing your arm, he dragged you into the building.
"Let me go," you struggled in his grasp, but he ignored your words, dragging you straight to his apartment.
"Jo-
"Shut the fuck up, you bold, pulling up with another nigga, I'd be wrong if I boom his stupid looking ass," he said, he was too calm, his focus seemed to go elsewhere, pacing, thinking of his next move.
Moving to leave, his eyes snapped your way. "Did I fucking tell you to leave? Sit the fuck down," he ordered. He kept a straight face, hiding all of his emotions behind a stone wall. The authority in his voice made you move to the sofa with a quickness, crossing your legs when you sat.
"Who was that?" He asked, leaning on the wall, looking at you.
"Jo, we're not to-
"Chill on that dumb ass lie, I don't know the bitch that came at you, they been coming out of everywhere, since Kay been popping," he grumbled.
"Sure she did"
"Why would I let a fucking smoochie fight my lady? We still together, get that through yo fucking skull, who is that nigga?"
"He's only a classmate," you answered him. He could have been lying, but it made sense. Since Kay had been blowing up, everyone around him was getting some popularity, especially his siblings.
"Where you went-
"Aye, what you tryna do bout oh boy?" Kay came peaking in the apartment.
"Y'all not doing nothing-
"Shut up, big head," Kay said, before looking at his brother.
"Hold up, gimme a minute," he said, watching as his brother left.
"Jo, y'all are not doing nothing to him," you stood up, but hesitantly sat back down as he got off the wall, walking up to you.
"Where you went with him?"
"Jo, I won't see him anymore, but don't do-
"Answer me, mami," he held your jaw, lifting your head, your eyes met his.
"We only had lunch, I promise," you told him, ready to beg him to not hurt the boy. He and his brother were crazy, he seemed like he was worse than Kay, especially when he got angry.
"You gonna come yo ass back home?" He asked, you nodded, letting him pull you up. He pulled you close, licking his lips, he pecked your lips.
Your arms immediately went around his neck, his muscular arms around your waist. There was something about when he acted this way, making you want to follow his every command.
"I be back, when I come back I want you face down, ass up," he pulled away.
"Jo, don't," you shook your head. The thought of something bad happening to Corey made you feel guilty.
"What I say?"
"Face down, ass up"
"Go ahead, mami, I'm coming back," he kissed you, smacking your ass, leaving you standing there hot and bothered.
Maybe Corey didn't matter too much, he knew what he was getting it, when he asked you on a date.
