"Girl, it's that bad?" Tonya, your best friend, lowly exclaimed.
"He hasn't touched me at all, it feels like we're co-parenting"
After birthing Josie, everything was perfect, until she was about two months. Jo decided without your permission, it was best that you were a stay-at-home mom. While he went back to doing whatever he knew would bring in money, from his music to being on the block, you were at home with the infant. Now, as she was approaching five months, he still managed to spend every day with her, but completely neglected you.
"You don't think he's messing with somebody else?" she asked, as you watched Jo. He had Josie close to his chest, as he talked amongst his friends. He bounced her lightly, occasionally looking down, while joking with them, in the living room.
Many of both of your relatives were here, seeing her for the first time. You kept her away, not wanting her to potentially get sick, being exposed to all the different people. However now, your apartment was crowded with family and friends. In the kitchen, you were cooking, meal prepping for the week, as you shook your head.
"I don't think he's cheating, he's here a lot, just not spending time with me," you said, making eye contact with him, as he looked back at you.
"Show him what he's missing, he might need to remember what he has," Tonya suggested.
Nodding in agreement, you planned the perfect outing, that would either make Jo realize what he had been doing or if not, you'd still have a great time.
"Camila, could you watch Josie, just for tonight?" you asked your younger cousin, as she walked into the kitchen, grabbing a juice.
"Sure," she tells you, before walking out.
"You'll be at my place before it's too late?" Tonya asked while you washed and dried your hands.
"Yeah," you said, hugging each other, before she grabbed her purse, leaving, while you went into the living room.
