That night, Johnny couldn't sleep completely well. After all, there was still a stranger in his mansion and that was a very risky idea when he stopped to think about it...But he had to trust Sarah, she was his assistant, his right hand in whom he had enormous trust. So there was nothing to fear, right?
With one eye open and the other closed he spent most of the night, until finally tiredness overcame him and he ended up completely asleep.
...
A new day began, so he was woken up when heard one of the most beautiful sounds that nature could provide him in the morning: "𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘱, 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘱, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘵-𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘱, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘵-𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘺 𝘐'𝘮 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯' 𝘞𝘈𝘗, 𝘞𝘈𝘗, 𝘞𝘈𝘗, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘵-𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘺..." His alarm rang echoing throughout the room. Yes, that was his alarm clock. And he loved that it was the first thing he heard when his day started.
Johnny had slept kind of well, and that was enough considering the last two days of bad sleep. Cage then went to his bathroom to do his skin routine, trying his best to minimize the appearance of his dark circles.
The man, who until then had been wearing boxers, put his robe over it and went down the stairs, and was startled when he reached the top step and came across a figure sitting on his sofa. He gave a small gasp, low but enough to be heard by the other man.
"You're late." The man was waiting for him while reading his newspaper. As soon as he noticed his presence, his security guard lowered his sheet so that he could just see his eyes, which were small and sharp, and as black as an empty starless night. They conveyed depth, and could be quite intimidating when stared at for too long.
Johnny received a glance from the man that gave him chills."Uh--For what?" Johnny froze, raising an eyebrow, completely confused about what it was.
"For you training. Don't you read the email's from Sarah?"
"Email? Oh...Yes! I read...I guess..." Johnny was always a pro at lying, managing to fool his parents that he had gotten a good grade when he didn't and even convincing his teachers that his dog had eaten his homework. But looking into those deep black eyes made him feel confronted, humiliated and insulted. Therefore it was impossible not to stutter while they looked at him.
"You didn't read it, did you?" Kenshi finally lowered his newspaper page completely, displaying a completely different outfit than the day before. Today he wore a closed black thermal training t-shirt that was very tight to his body, allowing the shape of his abdomen to be clearly seen, and underneath he was wearing dark red shorts. "You know, for an actor you lie very badly, Cage." He said in a mocking tone.
"Who's to say I wasn't acting about looking like I was acting bad?" The actor hated it when he was teased, so he tried to lie. Only he could do this to others, not others do it to him!
"This does not make any sense." The man shook his head, raising an eyebrow.
"Okay! Fine! Just let me have my breakfast and then we can go to my gym, okay? Just give me a few minutes to wake up." Johnny snorted, he's never had such an irritating and demanding personal, and Kenshi isn't even his trainer!
The black-haired man nodded and returned his gaze to his newspaper and the actor headed towards the kitchen. Cage then turned on his coffee maker and went over to his stove, grabbing a pan and some eggs to prepare his breakfast. He looked at Kenshi, it would be inelegant not to ask if he was hungry, because despite these crazy security circumstances, he was still his guest. And well, his parents taught him how to treat them properly. "Do you want...Um...Breakfast? I'll make you an omelet if you want some...?" He didn't even know how to formulate a question as those provocative eyes stared at him again.
