Mateo was looking through his books when Elena and Isabel came in. "Mateo, we need your help!" Elena said to him. "What happened Isabel?" Mateo said. They told Mateo about what happened and he didn't believe them. "If you are really in each other's bodies tell me something that only Elena will know." Elena then whispered something in his ear. "What, how did you know that?" Mateo said and turned to Isabel, "I thought I told you not to tell anyone about that." "About what?" Isabel asks. "What do you mean, you know what I'm talking..." Before Mateo finished his sentence, he realized they were telling the truth of being in each other's body.

"How did this happen?" Mateo asked. "We think it has to do with this." Isabel said and handed the idol to him. They two began to explain the earthquake they felt and how the idol must've been responsible. "That could explain it," Mateo said, "but like I say, I couldn't find anything in the codex or in my grandfather's notebook about the idol. I thought something like the idol would be more worthy to put in his notebook, but I can't find anything on it." He showed them his grandfather's notebook and began to flip through the pages. "Well maybe he forgot to write it down, since there are some blank pages in the middle." Isa noted

Elena then thought of something. "Wait a minute , remember when my scepter revealed the hidden information of the scepter of night and your grandfather's secret message about it?" She said, "what if he secretly wrote it down on those blank pages that we can use the scepter to relieve it." "You could be on to something." Mateo said and showed them the blank pages, "Use the scepter." "I can't," Elena said, "I don't have my powers in this body, she has to do it." She points to Isabel. She told Isa what she had to do. "Uh okay, here it goes." Isabel said as she picked the scepter up. "Glow." The scepter began to glow and the blank pages began to reveal a hidden message.

"This is it!" Mateo said and he began to read, while Isabel held the still glowing scepter

"This is it!" Mateo said and he began to read, while Isabel held the still glowing scepter. "It says here the idol was something my abuelo found one day and he discovers that the idol can sense two people saying they wish to have the other life then it will swap the two bodies." "We figured that out already," Elena said to Mateo, "does it explain how to break the spell?" Mateo continued to read the page and then said "it doesn't say exactly how to break this spell, but it does say that once the two people that swap sees eye to eye with each other before midnight then they swap back to their own bodies, if not they remain as each other forever."

"See eye to eye, what does it mean by that?" Elena said, confused. "I don't know, but now I know why my abuelo kept this idol in a lock box." Mateo replied. Elena then turns to Isa and asks what she thinks it ment, only that Isa, still holding the glowing scepter, wasn't looking so good. "Uh, Elena. I feel a little tired." Isabel said and then began to faint, only to be caught by Mateo. Elena notices Isa's eyes were closed and relieved that she must have used up a lot of her energy. "Oh no, Isa. Wake up. Wake up Isa. Please wake up." Just then Armando came in. "Oh there you are Elena, I was looking for you." He then noticed that there was something wrong with "Elena", "Is there something wrong with her?" "Uh no, I'm, I mean she is fine. My sister is just a little tired." Elena said and asked him to leave them alone for just a bit so "Elena" could rest up a bit. Armando agreed and left the room.

"Why didn't you tell him that you're Elena?" Mateo asked. "I didn't want people to worry, especially today." Elena said. Just then Isabel got up. "What happened?" "The scepter drains a lot of your energy, Isa." Elena told her sister. "Look, I was thinking about this problem, how about we just pretend to be each other and do each other's things. I will pretend to be you and go to school and do your invention, while you'll be me and finish setting up for the banquet." Isa thought about it and then said, "I guess it's not that bad, but I will write notes for what you need to do for my invention." Elena agreed and the two left the room to get dressed for the day, leaving Mateo with the idol. "This is going to be a very confusing day."
