Felix didn't want to see the funeral.
But he had to. He had to do what he did best, lie.

Since only few knew that he'd been revived, most students being obloviated for everyone's safety. He only had to say he somehow survived the fall, since everyone knew that part.
He had been saved by Neville that passed by and jumped to get him. The two of them were sent to the infirmary while the rest gathered around the headmaster.

The panacea remained a secret. Now only Draco had to keep his mouth shut about it.

Felix left before the end. He couldn't bare the sight if the coffin. Picturing himself inside instead of the headmaster. He hadn't said anything about it. He just stood up from the last row and left. His parents followed.

For everyone who was not present, it was incredibly rude, even though they got he 'could have died' as well. The rest didn't say a word. Bit it let them grasp a piece of his mind, him who hadn't shown anything towards the event since the panic attack when he woke up.

Unsurprisingly, his parents took him to his house in Devon.

As soon as she saw him, Cheryl rushed to him and pulled him into a choking embrace. She cried for so long that it caught Tyler's interest.
Of course he knew nothing.

Felix did his best to smile a little to reassure him. But it showed more feelings than he wanted too.

Not invited at the funeral, Molly and Arthur, along with their adult sons, all came home to see him.
But Felix barely greeted them and locked himself in his room.

It worried everyone very much.

He didn't do much in his room, he lied in his bed. Sometime he slept, sometimes crying, sometimes listening to what the voices had to say.
Everytime he slept he had nightmares, about his death, about Draco, about the future, about the monster he'd been slowly turning into because of his pride. He never woke up peacefully. It showed. He missed Draco's embrace that kept nightmares away.
At least know the nightmares, weren't about his father anymore.

He came down only to eat. Sometimes his parents or Tyler tried to talk or do something together, but he was always tol tired.
Corinne and Christophe had decided to stay for the summer at least. They wanted to take Felix back to France, but they knew he'd never accept.

So instead they told him they'd take Tyler back with them. Cheryl had agreed, to protect him. It was Corinne's parents that would take care of him, as they did for Felix years before.

Felix had simply nodded and went back up.

Half-way through the first month, Christophe went up to his room and knocked. Corinne followed with a tray of snacks Felix used to love. They thought it would comfort him.
Felix let them in for the first time since they arrived.

He felt bad for what he was doing to them, but he was truly tired from everything that happened in his head.  He ate very few and barely showered as well. He didn't even have the joy to watch Bruce eat as he lived in the living room for now.

But they didn't say anything, they simply sat with him on his messy bed.
Felix felt a bit awkward after not talking to them for so long.

"Sorry." He said in a small voice, he didn't even have the strength to look at them in the eyes.

"It's okay mon coeur." Corinne answered in a motherly tone,  "Take your time."
" We know it's hard for you. We won't force you to tell us what's going on in your head, we're just checking on you." Christophe added.

Felix felt his body relax a little bit at their words. He forced himself to reach for a snack and nibble on it.
His parents watched him with relief. They didn't say anything and simply munched on some snacks as well, so Felix wouldn't fell alone to eat.

"I miss Draco." He suddenly said.
His parents looked at him, then exchanged looks and nodded.

"You know.." Corinne started, "we talked to Draco a lot."

Felix gave them a puzzled look. "What?"

Christophe smiled lightly. "That's how we know he's going to be okay. If our secret didn't get to you, and we know you're good at seeing through peoples, it won't make it to the ears of the Dark Lord."

Felix liked their reasoning, but that wasn't the main problem.
"What the fuck ? That's why you seemed to like eachother last Christmas!?" He asked incredulously.

It was the first real emotion that Felix showed them in a while, they couldn't restrain a laugh.

"He told us many things you wanted to hide from us. We told him some things about you. And we came to know eachother through that." Corinne smiled.
" It's a good boy, and he's stronger than he thinks he is" Christophe nodded.

Felix adverted his eyes again.
"So you really knew. It was weird you didn't ask about it more. What did he tell you ?"

"Everything a mother want know about the pain her son went through. What he did to you. How you had nightmares almost every night about it. How you felt." She answered.

Felix tensed, his mother came to sat next to him and pulled him close. She kissed his forehead. "Why you wanted to keep it hidden from me."

Felix accepted her embrace.

"I'm sorry i didn't tell you." He said.

"You don't need to be. I see why you did so. I also understand why you won't tell me how you feel. But... You don't have to suffer alone you know ? I'm your mama, i'll always be here for you."

Christophe joined in their hug, "Don't forget your super Papa.  I'll be there if you ever need to go and let it all out somewhere."

Felix managed a chuckle.
"I love you, maman, papa."
