As the white moon casted a soft glow through the curtains, a lady sat on the edge of a young boy's bed, her voice laced with warmth and love.
"And then," she whispered, "that is how the four great kingdoms came into existence."
Wide-eyed, the little boy clutched his favourite teddy bear, his imagination and curiosity growing with every word. "What happened next, Grandma?"
The beautiful lady chuckled softly, her fingers brushing through the boy's soft locks. "Now, now, it's time for you to sleep my little Prince"
The young boy bit his bottom lip, "But I want to know what happens next, Grandma!"
With a tender smile, the said lady tucked the blankets snugly around the boy. "Oh, my dear Sunoo, there will be plenty of stories tomorrow. But tonight, it's time for you to sleep, you have a big day tomorrow."
Sunoo's pout deepened, he was determined to know what happened next, "But I'm not sleepy, Grandma." He protested with his pout growing bigger.
She gently placed a kiss on Sunoo's forehead smiling lovingly at her beautiful grandson "But your eyes say something else."
Sunoo frowned, shaking his head "Sunoo is not sleepy." His grandma chuckled, finding his silly acts adorable. "If you sleep now like a good boy, I'll tell you a new story tomorrow!"
Sunoo's eyes shined at those words, his excitement knowing no boundaries "promise?" The lady nodded with a loving smile on her face "promise!" She replied.
Sunoo nodded, there was no way out anymore, he had to sleep now, he nodded with a huge smile, the small pout still visible on his tiny face. Sunoo snuggled deeper into his pillow, falling asleep soon without a worry in the world with his grandma by his side.
And as Grandma tiptoed out of the room, she couldn't help but smile at the sound of Sunoo's soft snores. Tomorrow was a big day for her dear grandson and she had to make sure that it was perfect for him.
With the first ray of blue moon peeking through the castle windows, the maids tiptoed into the young prince's room. Gently, they approached his bed, admiring his peaceful sleeping face.
"Good morning, Your Highness," whispered the head maid, her voice as soft as a cold breeze. "It's time to wake up."
But Sunoo moved only slightly, a contented smile gracing his lips as he snuggled deeper into his blankets.
The maids exchanged knowing glances, their hearts filled with warmth and love for the precious prince who brought joy to everyone in the kingdom since the very day he was born. After trying for a while they finally managed to wake him up.
With a sleepy yawn and a stretch, Sunoo blinked his eyes open, his gaze meeting the loving smiles of the maids gathered around his bed.
"Happy Birthday, Your highness," they greeted him together, their voices sounding like a sweet melody.
