Walking down the hallway to Kelly and Onikas apartment I could already hear some commotion coming from inside. Music was playing and I didn't know who's voice I was hearing but they were loud as hell.

My hands were full so I had to knock on the door with my feet. It took a second but Kelly eventually came to the door with a strawberry lemonade Truly in her hand. "Bey! We were waiting on you, thank God."

She was only this happy to see me because I was the one that brought the alcohol but it didn't matter. I wanted to give her a hug but I couldn't because my hands are full. "Hi. I need to put these down, they're heavy." My arms were starting to shake, I was holding a paper bag two bottles of liquor and a plastic one with two bottles of juice.

She moved out the way and I speed walked over to kitchen. Onika just so happened to be in the kitchen bent over getting something out of the oven. "Damn." I couldn't help myself.

She was already upright again so she turned around and smiled. "Hey Bey."

"Hey. Where can I set these down?" There was food all over the kitchen table so I had no place for the bags.

"Here, I got it." She grabbed both bags from me and put them in a little piece of counter space between their fridge and oven. "What did you get?"

I rolled my shoulders now that I was free. "Espolon and Dusse in the first bag, Cranberry juice and lemonade in the second. Kelly told me you guys had stuff here so I didn't do too much with the chasers."

"Yeah we have a bunch of stuff, we just went to the store this morning." She sighed, "I've been cooking for hours."

"What did you cook?" I looked behind me at the spread of food on the table that I didn't pay much attention to before.

She took a deep breath before speaking so I knew it was going to be a lot. "Cheeseburger sliders, personal nachos, wings, celery, carrots, fries, and a fruit salad. Robyn and Mel are bringing dessert."

I knew I wasn't late.

"Damn. I'm guessing Kelly didn't do shit?" I know my best friend.

She rolled her eyes and walked back over to the sliders that she just took out of the oven. "She cleaned and she watched the food while I got ready, I'll give her that."

"I was wondering how you had time to look so... good. Single you has a different type of glow about you." I wasn't just saying it, happiness looked good on her.

She started to cheese. "You think? Kelly told everyone to dress casually so I didn't want to do too much, but thank you." She was just wearing shorts and a cut cropped hoodie but it looked good on her.

"Yeah, you really do." I had to snap out of it. "Where'd Kelly go?"

She shrugged. "She was on the phone before you got here, so probably doing that."

I raised an eyebrow. "On the phone with who?" I already knew it was whoever she was secretly fucking now.

"Girl, leave her alone, she's minding her business. Here, come try this." She grabbed one of the sliders and held it out for me. I walked over and tried to take it from her but she pulled it back. "I didn't say the whole thing, just take a bite."

I playfully rolled my eyes. "You just want to feed me."

She didn't say anything and pushed it closer to my mouth. Her not saying anything let me know that it was true. I closed the space between me and the slider and took a big bite. "Mmm!" I nodded since my mouth was full.
