Interview (Auli'i Cravalho x Reader)

(a/n: reader is a cast member of mean girls and was previously on broadway (legally blonde) and the west end (heathers). this interview is based off the vanity fair 'MG cast test how well they know each other' interview.)

Reader POV

It was the start of another press day for 'Mean Girls' and I started to get more anxious for the release of the movie as the days passed by. My cast mates and I all made our way to our seats for the interview and they gave us all our cards with our questions on. It was only the start of what was going to be a long day and I was already tired. I laid my head on my girlfriend, Auli'i's shoulder before they called action and I sat up straight.

"We are the cast of 'Mean Girls' and today we are finding out all that we know about each other." Giggles erupted through out the room as Reneé did the introduction for the interview. "Yeah, which is probably, like, soo, too much." Reneé continued and she let out a nervous laugh, "Let's get started: Which singer does my favourite riff? And there's only one right answer. And there is a specific song" Reneé starts and I sit and contemplate for a second.

"I saw you in an interview saying you love Beyoncé." Angourie guessed.

"I think the artist is Yebba." I hear my girlfriend's voice and smile.

"Jennifer Hudson." Bebe guesses and Reneé moves on to Jaquel, asking for his answer.

"I'm gonna say Jazmine Sullivan."

"Yeah, I was gonna say Jazmine Sullivan too. I couldn't tell you the song though." I also answer and Jaquel and I smile at each other. "Do you have, like, okay wait, I'm gonna come back to you, Chris?" Reneé asks for his response.

"You know, uhh, Ariana Grande bro." Chris didn't seem too convinced with his answer.

"Woah." Bebe stated, knowing enough that she knew it wasn't Ariana. Everyone laughed.

"Okay... Alright..." Jaquel nodded.

"Jennifer Hudson... No, Beyoncé." Avantika quickly got her response in.

"Two people did get it correct," Reneé starts and my girlfriend gasps, putting one hand on my thigh and pointing at Jaquel, "Guess who it was." Reneé continues and points at Jaquel and I. I smile and Jaquel gives the camera a knowing look. Everyone claps. "Do you wanna go for, like, bonus points and say what the song is?" Reneé asks.

"You know what, I got my W, so I don't." Jaquel responds and Reneé squeals and I giggle. 

"It is Jazmine Sullivan, In love with another man. The entire song is actually, just like, vocal acrobatics and it's just a riff." Reneé reveals and attempts the riff. Jaquel joins in quietly towards the end, "And take it away, and I know that I should, " Reneé points at Jaquel and he laughs and shakes his head. "Reneé Rapp, everybody!" Jaquel laughs.

"And we're moving on, What is my biggest pet peeve? And you know I got a lot..." Reneé sarcastically laughs and Auli'i starts to answer. "I think it's when people are wasting her time.."

"Yes! I was gonna say that." Avantika agrees.

"People talking when you're trying to concentrate... and do something." Angourie guesses.

"Isn't that what we're doing right now?" Chris asks.

"Yeah, exactly." Angourie responds.

"I'm gonna say fake bitches, cuz why not?" Jaquel responds.

"You're so real for that, fuck, you're so real for that. Chris?" Reneé adds.

"Yeah, wasting your time."
