Reader's POV

I sat at my table with Janis and Damian as I thought to myself. Both of my friends were sat and talking with their respective partners and I awkwardly sat among them in silence. Cady was off messing around with Aaron on the dance floor after getting Regina's blessing. Not that she needed it. But it was out of respect, I guess.

The reality of the situation was that I spent months pining over Cady while she was too busy chasing after Aaron and trying to take down Regina with Janis and Damian. You might think that she was a huge red flag for being a homewrecker but I didn't care. I saw right past it. And now all I'm seeing is her and Aaron in the midst of this crowded dance floor as I sulked to myself. Even in that ugly Mathletes uniform she looked perfect.

Janis and Damian had started to pick up on my feelings for Cady pretty early on and would tease me about it all the time. It sucked knowing they knew and would still help Cady get to Aaron all for some stupid Middle School Revenge. At this point, I began to think too much so I got up to go for a walk around the room to find someone who was actually interested in a conversation. "Hey, you okay?" Janis called out to me as she saw me get up to leave.

"Huh? Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just gonna go get a drink." I replied, completely monotone. Janis gave me a nod and I went on my way.

I walked around the entire perimeter before finally reaching the snack table that had a big bowl of fruit punch. Non-alcoholic, of course. Regina George was also stood by the table waiting for someone who could help her. "Oh, oh! Y/n! Can you help me for a second? Can you pour me some fruit punch?" Regina called out to me with a smile.

"For sure, Regina," I started to pour some into a cup for her, "How are you, tonight?" I handed her the cup. "Oh, you know, as well as one could be for just being hit by a bus." She responded sarcastically. "Yeahh, ouch..." I responded. "What meds have they got you on? You seem pretty loopy, right now."

"Wow, thanks. Ummm, I couldn't tell you the answer to that though. My mom could though. How are you tonight?" Regina stumbled out her words.

"Oh I'm just fantastic." I sarcastically answer, pouring myself some punch and sipping on it.

"What's gotten you all antsy, tonight?" Regina grimaced at my sudden change of mood.

"Oh, you know, just the casual pining for a girl who's extremely obsessed with the most basic guy in the entire school." I respond and scowled at the thought of Cady with Aaron.

"Ahhh, I understand." Regina responded.

"What?" I question. Did Regina like girls?

Regina's eyes widened as she realised what she just admitted to, "Uhhh, you know, I just-" She stuttered, trying to make excuses for herself. "Your secret is safe with me, Regina." I patted her shoulder and sipped at my fruit punch before looking into the crowd and seeing Cady and Aaron kiss. I scoffed before turning to Regina and she was giving me this knowing look. "You're into Cady too, huh?"

"TOO???"

"Yeah, wasn't it obvious? Like... Are you kidding?" Regina replied, "Don't worry. I won't go after her. I've got my eyes on someone else."

"You make a fair point. Who've you got your eyes on, then?"

"Janis." Regina stared at Janis from across the room with heart eyes.

"Regina, Janis is dating someone..." I break the news to her. Regina's eyes widen and she gasps. "What? Janis is seeing someone?" Regina's lip trembles as she fight's back tears.
