Ahaana's pov
Sometimes you are able to run from what you fear only to get a reality check later on. The same was happening with me today. My son questioned about his father. The father who doesn't even knows about his existence. The father who left his mother when she needed him the most.
"Am I a fatherless child , Mumma?"
His one question and I didn't knew what to say , this innocent soul was too young to face the cruel reality.
I smiled a little fighting back my sorrow as I cupped his face between my palms kissing his forehead.
"Who said that you are Fatherless I am both for you mother as well as father.."
Avi looked at me unsatisfied with the answer I gave and it was quite obvious , no one would believe that."But all my friends have two parents and a family , why not me?" He asked further making my heart crumble in pieces.
Did I failed as a mother too?Tears began forming in my eyes as my vision turned blurry. I bit on my lower lip controlling the urge to cry then and there.
"That's because you are special, my friend.." we heard a familiar voice as Mahir sir spoke up walking towards Avi picking him up in his arms with Bhavna following him behind.
He smiled at my son ruffling his hair "And where did you learned this fatherless word ha?" He asked.
"Also , who said that you don't have a family? We are your family! Got it!" Bhavna stated pecking his cheek while Mahir Sir nodded in agreement.
"Oh , Masi ! You should stop applying lipstick they leave marks all the time!" Avi whined rubbing his cheek while all of us laughed at my little one's antics.
Mahir sir stopped laughing after a while as he said "Buddy , you go and play with your Masi I have something to discuss with your mumma , okay?"
Avi nodded his head holding onto Bhavna's hands as both of them left. He looked at me and that's when I remembered what I blurted out last night.
"So you already knew Vihaan Suryavanshi , isn't it?" He questioned raising an eyebrow as I looked away holding the storm within myself.
"I am asking something, Ahaana!"
His blue eyes met mine when he stepped closer to me.What should I tell him?
"Ahaana!" Mahir sir exclaimed , a sweat bead rolled down my forehead as I tried best to think of an excuse.
"I..uh..actually.."His hands rolled into a fist before he punch landed on the wall behind me.
"I need an answer dammit!"I inhaled sharply calming down my racing heartbeats "He is Avi's father.." the words slipped out of my mouth and he stared at me after listening to what I said , totally blank.
"I want to know the whole story.." he said seating himself on a chair while I sighed having no other option but to tell him about my past.

Flashback

Ahana sighed leaning on the wall of her school sports room . She was bored because it was their games period today not that she didn't liked playing but playing with the girls of her class was a troublesome as they were all short tempered and somewhat egoistic having those bitchy teenager traits while her being an introvert didn't helped a bit .
She wished if she had Ashtangika to accompany her but the problem was that her bestfriend just loved playing outdoor games like literally and her being an extrovert always acted in her favour of handling situations which Ahana knew she couldn't do.
"Ouch!" Suddenly a basketball hits her shoulder making her shreek as she was pulled out of her thoughts and rubbed her shoulder feeling slight amount of pain.
"Are you alright?" A voice came from behind making Ahana turn only to find tall boy most probably of 6 feet looking at her with genuine concern.
"I am really sorry.." He continued to speak while she unknowingly scanned him from head to toe not that she was checking him out but he didn't looked like the boy of this school as he was dressed in casuals. Something that wasn't allowed at all for any school student
"Uh..its okay.." Coming out of her thoughts Ahana managed to utter before passing him the ball as the guy turned around to walk back towards the court.
Should I ask? She questioned herself and a positive reply came from her mind
"Listen!" Ahana called yet it went in vain as the guy already walked away also what added further to her embarrassment was all the other students turned around to look at her.
Why do I make all the wrong choices in life ?
