Seating himself on the sofa Vihaan had a look around the house "Hmm..Small but nice.." he remarked earning an eye roll from Ahaana.

"Not everybody lives in a palace like you.." she replied settling on the opposite side.

Avi who watched all this with an annoyed face couldn't stand the presence of the new man in their house.

"Who are you , Bijli ka khamba..? And why you toubling ush (troubling us)?" He questioned crossing his arms over his chest.

A small smile crept the grey eyed man's lips as he stared at the angry ball.

"Well , I am-" before Vihaan could speak further Ahaana interrupted him.

"He's my school friend , bacha" she excused earning a are-you-not-kidding-me? look from her son.

"Like Bhavna masi?"

"Yes!"

Vihaan sucked in a breath glaring at the girl infront of him and then turning his attention back to the youngest one in room.

"Yes , I am her friend" he agreed stressing on the last word with a small smirk.

Eventhough unsatisfied Avi still nodded his head "But fends shouldn't dishtub at thish time! Haina mumma?" Coming up with a new argument he asked looking at his mother.

"I know that still I can't help it as my car got damaged and it will take time to be repaired..So can I stay here please?" Making puppy eyes Vihaan asked the kid who acted like he was thinking something by keeping his index finger on his chin.

"And you know tomorrow I am going to watch a movie of iron man..So if you let me stay , I'll take you along.." The older man offered to which Avi's eyes sparkled in joy.

"Iron man!?"

"Yes , iron man!"

Immediately he grinned ear to ear only to make up a tough face later on giving a curt nod like some professors.

"Okay then! If you want you can stay but you won't trouble , mumma.." he stated as Vihaan nodded like an obedient kid.

Ahaana who silently witnessed their interaction felt herself tied by the chains of emotions. She never wished her child to be fatherless but maybe that is what destiny has written for the poor little soul.

They both continued talking for a while about all superheroes and movies when she realised that if Avi gets attached to Vihaan than later on it will be difficult and heartbreaking for him to loose his unknown father. Now , she didn't trusted anyone specifically in the matter of her son.

"Avi.." she called out gaining both of their attention "Go and complete your homework.." she ordered strictly to which the kid made a pout negatively shaking his head but one look from her eyes and he knew that there was no benifit in showing resistance.

Avi got up and walked towards his room upstairs and soon as Ahaana saw his figure disappearing she held Vihaan's collar in her hand.

"What do you think of yourself ha?! You might be the rich one but neither you nor anyone else has the right over my son! Got it!?" She yelled staring angrily into his eyes.

Vihaan on the other hand remained calm detaching her hold on his shirt he said "He's my son as well , Ahaana and if you think you can hide him from me then it isn't possible.."

For a second she turned expressionless only to burst in a laughter later on "Son? Really!? What type of a son , the one you never came to meet all these years..or a child whom your family rejected like a piece of garbage? You aren't his father , I am! I alone completed the duties of both parents , I gave birth to him and I am raising him!" With bloodshot eyes and trembling lips Ahaana managed to speak as her index finger pointed towards him

"Do you think I would've let this all shit happen if I knew about it?! Trust me meri jaan I didn't knew anything earlier..I beg you!" He replied folding his hands infront of her in a totally vulnerable state.

However it made no difference to the dusky skinned lady who threw her emotions in a dustbin long back.

"Trust you? What a joke! I don't even trust my own shadow , Mr.Suryavanshi..So trusting you is not even an option.." Ahaana's voice trembled slightly as she turned around with some traitor  tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

Soon she heard the opening and closing sound of door and turning around she found that he left without a word. Taking in shaky breaths she bit on her lower lip closing her eyes.

And they say love is the best medicine...
Wrong , for her it turned out to be the most painful wound thats still fresh after so many years. It kills her every minute , every second she lives.
