Hailey's P.O.V

Well. Let's say it was the most awkward 15 minutes that passed between me and Jason, in the last time we spent together.

Sebastian arrived on time, he took a seat on the fluffy sofa, after I escorted him from the door to the main living room. Jason looked constantly irritable, his eyes were anxious, while his hands were placed on the sofa beside his legs. I didn't know if he wanted to pull a fight or laugh hardly.

I, on the other hand, was sitting comfortably, my legs bent beneath me and my hands wildly swifting in all direction. I was happy, happy because that was my nature, no matter what happened. My mother had died weeks ago, and I was between my friends, with a perfectly fit smile plastered on my face. I was happy, and I wasn't, too, but I had to fake it.

Sebastian was weird. He had a spliff hung from his dry lips, while he was draped on the sofa. His eyes were carefree, same to his chocolate brownies natural hair.

We chatted for a while; Jason never spoke a word, I was constantly firing questions to Sebastian, and Sebastian was just answering mindlessly.

I could say Jason was holding himself, his teeth were grinding and his chiseled features were throbbing with anger. His mood wasn't stable: sometimes he got ready to move, but other time he would stay in his area, hands holding his chin, as his head rested on them.

Jason absorbing a ton of angry feelings wasn't something enjoyable to watch. Soon, I ended up what I started and Sebastian was in his red Ferrari waving.

Jason let out a huge sigh. "Happy now? I wasn't able to maintain my self a couple of minutes more. Please don't ever bring him again." He looked at me with pleading eyes. His last sentence forces my eyebrow up right. He seemed to notice my confusion, so he corrected the last sentence in a matter of seconds; he was quick-witted. "At least when I'm not here."

"Okay then, as you wish. By the way I knew you was going to burst any moment during his presence," I chewed the sides of my cheeks, trying to hold a laugh.

His eyes narrowed for a while, lips in a straight line, looking at me straight in my eyes. I hate that. It feels that I'm so naked, that he could look deep at me and I couldn't hide anything. Eyes softened and lips partened, after a few minutes of deep observation in my eyes, as if he found something he had been searching for, like a child who find a lost toy.

The rest of the day passed, the same way the weeks passed, which turned into months. My friendship with Jason grew stronger. He was my protective brother: whenever I needed him he was right beside me, with a courageous smile and friendly eyes. I couldn't remember a time when he ever rejected a request I asked for.

School was school.
I have taken up science subjects for A levels, willing to be someone in the scientifical field, but I have no idea what will that 'someone' be. No ambitions at all, I'm trying to live my life, young and free.

Winter was reaching its end, meaning that the semester was ending too.

I was walking in the halls of the school while all students caged with the teachers. I, like one of the rare students, didn't have any classes. A cute couple near a locker, chatting - or possibly making out- I couldn't tell. Group of bad guys sitting in a circle, smoking weed ( all teachers were busy). I kept walking till I reached the cafeteria, spot a strategic place and went to have a scroll of Facebook.

A female voice cleared her throat softly beside me, snapping my attention to her. "May I have a seat with you for the end of the class?" she asked manner fully.

I smiled. "Sure!" I answered back, looking at her as she had a seat on the chair opposite to mine.

She extended her right hand with a generous smile. "I'm Mallory."
