Saving Hailey

chapter 2

Yeah, that is pretty odd. My relation with that Nachni got worse, espicially after her car accident that killed my mother and left me with her alone. But we are forced to live together, just to keep my father's promise fulfilled.

I splashed cold water over my face and dried it. Then I applied the routine makeup and went to the closet.

First day means new people and new friends. I decided to wear black sweat pants and purple sweater. And did my hear in a high pony tail that touched my lower back then I went downstairs.

"Is miss princess done?", asked Nachni in a fake polite tone. I gave her a disgusted look and avoided her silly question.

We were done with the break fast and I grabbed my iPhone and the car's key.

"Wait! You're not driving", said angry Nachni.

"I'm not careless like you", I replied raising an eyebrow.

"Whatever! "

"Your whateveas will kill me," I said randomly. "I'll blame you if I died lacking brain cells."

She rolled her eyes and I smirked.

The worst place you can see is this highschool. It's literally the worst in Florida,   but I can't afford any better.

My locker was in a busy place of the school. No names where written, but I guess I was surrounded with boys' lockers. From the smell. I'm an expert in odors. I got my schedule and went to unlock my locker and load my things.

My luck, as always, took part of my life. I turned around and collided with someone. Things went slow motion. All the books I had flew in the air as I slipped and fell over the stranger. He lost his grip over the Starbucks drink and it fell covering  the floor. I was in an awkward position. He was on his back on his floor and I was on top of him my head in his neck. Thank God no one was there to witness this.

I was really shy and my face went like a red tomato. I couldn't face him and  I kept my head low.

"Are you okay?" he asked softly.

"Y-Yeah .. I'm fine" I murmured.

Getting support from my hand, I tried to get up but I fell back into the guys chest. He laughed and helped me up.

"T-Thanks.."

"Anytime", he said and a wide smile appeared on his face revealing his pearl teeth. I smiled back weakly. I bent to collect my books but he was faster than me and he got them all in a blink.

"Umm.." I was out of words.

The bell rang and students started rushing to there classes.

"What do you have now?", he asked casually.

I took a look in my schedule and said ,"Chemistry, I guess.."

"Cool me too! Let's go together. Is it fine with you?"

"S-Sure..", I nodded. What did I get myself in too.

He took a seat and saved a place for me beside him. The Teacher started introducing himself and the class went on..

--------lunch break---------

I took my tray and headed to a table in the corner of the cafeteria where no one can see me. Except someone.

"Can I join you?", asked the same-guy-that-i-hit.

"Yeah...", I said hesitated.

He sat on the opposite side of the table.

"So, what's your name?", he asked stuffing a hand full of French fries in his mouth.

"Hailey"

"Nice name, I'm Jason"

"Nice to meet you", I said shyly

"Can I ask you something?", he said. His eyed glittered and I felt that something unpleasant awaited me...
