March
"I got the pictures," Parker told me one day. "Sorry it took so long."
They were really good. "Thanks. These are great."
I had a black eye, and bruises all down my arms. My arms were easy to hide. My eye? Let's just say everyone thought I got hit by a baseball.
"Yeah, no problem." There was an awkward silence. "Y/n, look. I'm sorry, but I don't think I can help you expose Spiderman."
"I'm not going to."
"What?"
"I can't. I... We're friends now. But I still wanna know who he is. I'll have to find another topic for my article."
Parker grinned. "That's great! But what about your dad?"
I shrugged. "I only have a few years left with him anyways."
"Well, I'm glad you've decided this. It's really, really great."
I raised an eyebrow, wondering why he cared so much. "Yeah..."
"I'm sorry about your article though. I'm sure you'll still get the internship. And I'm sure your dad will forgive you."
"He hasn't really interacted with me in a while." I shrugged. "It's been kinda nice, actually."
"Well, I guess that's good."
I smiled. "It is. Trust me."
I was leaning out of my window, waiting, hoping that Spiderman would come visit me.
He did.
"Y/n Thompson," he greeted, hanging upside down from above me. His face was only inches from mine.
"Spiderboy," I smiled. I gulped as his gaze flickered quickly from my eyes to my lips, before going back.
I bit my lip, and slowly pulled his mask down, so just his lips were showing. I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed me back. It was soft and sweet, and I pulled away all too soon. I put his mask back over his mouth.
"You didn't even try to pull it all the way off," he said softly.
I shrugged. "Maybe I don't wanna expose you anymore."
He smiled. "Thank god."
