-PROPHECY FOR TWO-

Blue paints the sky, wind wiping ever so serenely. A cool breeze brushes the necks of struggling demigods. Anxiety coursed through most of them with no remorse. The Winter Solstice Games were a fan favorite. Well, a fan favorite to those that stood a chance.

As some campers watch Clarisse and Mark warm up for their turn, they've already accepted their loss. But with no Grover to boost his confidence, Percy Jackson found himself a little nervous. He glances around the crowd, finding Annabeth at the top of the stands with Tyson.

Despite her obvious dislike for the cyclopes, she was trying to be nice for Percy's sake. She sends him a smile. Percy sends one back.

His focus turns back to the rotating obstacle, hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. He gets into position. The clock tick, tick, ticks.

     The boy takes off.

At the barrier is a lone girl. She pulls a hood over her head while taking in a breath. Her palms press against bark. It's rough against her soft hands. Her eyes shut, shadows swarming as swirls of blue and purple seep through the trunk.

Her spell enchants the tree. When the energy comes back to her, she sits straight and hovers her palms over the ground. The only plant she can produce springs to life, and a smile comes to her lips.

"We will figure this out," she says. "You won't leave us for a second time. You can't." She releases a breath and bows her head in respect.

Leaves crunch behind her. "She would be proud of how far you've come."

The girl scoffs. "She would hate me. Luke was right about me switching teams," she says. "You know he liked Thalia?"

     The centaur steps forward. "Really?"

"Yeah," she nods. "Told me all about it a few days after the barrier went up. He couldn't fathom why it took the death of someone he cared about for this place to be protected by the Gods, especially the death of a forbidden child."

"Do you miss it?" Chiron asks.

Her brows quirk. "Thalia? Of course I-"

He shakes his head, "No. Do you miss the way things used to be?" He questions.
